Man Found Dead Without Ears, Forefinger, Right Foot, Palm

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has appealed to members of the public who may help in the identification of a man who was found dead without some body parts including ears, forefinger, right foot and a palm.

In a statement seen by Pindula News, the police said the body was discovered on Sunday 19 February 2023. Reads the police statement:

The ZRP is appealing for information which may assist to identify a male adult who was found dead on 19/02/23 near the river at Gutaurare Village, Zimunya, Mutare.

The body was in an advanced state of decomposition and had some parts missing, ears, forefinger, right foot and palm. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police Station.

While police did not indicate how the man died, members of the public have previously concluded that missing body parts would have been taken for ritual purposes.
