Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 25 February 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 25 February 2022:
- 500 New Cases (All local) and 2 deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 348 from 338 (yesterday). 115 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Masvingo (51), Mash West (27), Mash East (25) and Manicaland (12).
- Vaccination Update: 3 596 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 350 925, 4 907 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 385 959 while 3 659 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 117 121.
- As of 24 February 2022, 1500hrs there were (49) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (7), Asymptomatic (6), mild to moderate (36), severe (4) and (3) in Intensive Care Units.
- 4 795 tests done today (Positivity today was 10%)
- 177 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 4 451
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 235 467 Cases 225 624 recoveries & 5 392 Deaths.
