Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 18 February 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 18 February 2022:
- 432 New Cases (All local) and 4 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 259 from 223 (yesterday). 66 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in) and Masvingo (41), Mat North (14), Manicaland (6), Mash Central (4) and Mash West (1)
- Vaccination Update: 5 079 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 331 869, 5 283 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 364 377 while 4 832 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 97 354.
- As of 17 February 2022, 1500hrs there were 40 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (12), Asymptomatic 1, mild to moderate 36, severe 3 and 0 in Intensive Care Units.
- 3 948 tests done today (Positivity today was 10%)
- 348 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 2 972
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 233 030 Cases 224 673 recoveries & 5 385 Deaths.
