EMA Closes Offices As Staff Member Tests Positive For COVID-19
A staff member at the Environmental Management Agency has tested positive for coronavirus prompting the agency to close its head office in Bluffhill and laboratory at KGVI.
The agency made the announcement in a notice to stakeholders which indicated that the offices would be closed for an indefinite period. EMA director-general Amkela Sidange said in the notice:
The agency would like to notify the public that EMA head office in Bluffhill as well as the KGVI office that houses Harare province and the Environmental Management Agency laboratory, will be temporarily closed with effect from Monday 27 July 2020 until further notice.
FeedbackEMA urged stakeholders to use its digital platforms for communication.
A number of companies in the country including the biggest telecommunications company, Econet Wireless have since closed their offices over the virus.
