Police Officers Threaten To Shoot A 10 Year Old Girl Who Picked A Plastic Containing Their Money
3 Police officers manning a roadblock along the Harare-Masvingo highway threatened to shoot a 10-year-old girl who had picked a plastic bag containing money that belonged to them, The Chronicle reports.
According to the publication, the 10-year-old girl who lives at a farm near Beatrice picked the paper in a rubbish pit and took it home. When her mother opened it they discovered there was money in the plastic bag of various currencies.
When the police officers discovered their money was missing, they went to the farm and threatened their suspects and pointed their service rifles at them, handcuffed them and threatened to assault them till the parents returned the money.
The trio, only identified as assistant Inspector Mahleka, Sergeant Ndlovu and Constable Hamadziripi, has since appeared before the ZRP Tribunal and were sentenced to 14 days in the detention barracks.
