Alexander Graeme Cremer is a Zimbabwean cricket player who plays for the national cricket team. In May 2016 he was appointed captain to replace Hamilton Masakadza.
Background
Alexander Graeme Cremer was born on 19 September 1986 in Harare.[1] He is married to Air Zimbabwe pilot Merna Moore and together they have a son Zac.[2]
Education
Graeme did his education at Prince Edward High School. [2]
Cricket career
Cremer made his debut against Bangladesh in 2004 where he claimed six wickets in two matches.[3] His next Test series was against South Africa, where he was mercilessly thrashed bu South African veteran Kallis. In the end, he managed to pick up the wickets of Graeme Smith, AB de Villiers and Jacques Kallis. Cremer's last Test match for Zimbabwe was in 2005 against New Zealand which resulted in Zimbabwe voluntarily withdrawing from the long format of the game.
Graeme made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2009 against Kenya where he picked 15 wickets in 5 matches. He picked up his first five wicket haul in Kenya's return tour to Zimbabwe. Cremer has 53 wickets from 43 games.
On 1 June 2016 he was announced as the new captain for the senior men's cricket team.[4]

Retirement & Return
In September 2013, Cremer retired from playing cricket over monetary issues and focused on playing golf instead.[5] However in October 2015 Cremer returned in the Zimbabwe cricket team for a test match against Bangladesh.[6]
Injury
In March 2016 Cremer was injured during the Chevrons' 10 wicket defeat to West Indies during the biannual T20 tournament in Dubai. He took a blow to the arm from a bouncer and suffered a broken arm resulting in him being unable to continue playing in the tournament.[7]
