Background
The establishment of the Christ Embassy Church in Zimbabwe is attributed to the role of a local cleric Ruth Musarurwa . Musarurwa began by leading a mission group of a handful of followers and the church subsequently grew to open other branches nationwide. By 2013, the church had witnessed monumental growth with more than 160 branches countrywide.[1] The Zimbabwean branch which falls under the Southern Africa zone is led by Ruth Musaruwa. .[2]
In 2002, Christ Embassy Zimbabwe became the first church to host a Christian road show. The road show saw various people receiving Christian booklets for free as part of the evangelisation program.[3]
