A 6-month-old baby died in severe pain after falling into a bucket of hot water in Kambuzuma, Harare on Friday.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the tragedy via a statement posted on their official social media handle, saying:

The ZRP reports a tragic incident in which a baby girl (6 months) died upon admission at a local hospital in Harare after falling in a 20-litre bucket filled with hot water on 15/11/24 at a house in Kambuzuma 5, Harare.
The mother of the victim had left the bucket near a couch where the baby was sitting.

6-month-old Baby Dies After Falling Into Hot Water In Harare

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a tragic road traffic accident in which a toddler, just one year and three months old, was killed.
The child was run over by a reversing Honda Fit vehicle in the yard of a house in Maridale, Norton, on September 23, 2024, around 3:10 PM.
Police said the child sustained head injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital in Norton. Reads a Police statement:

The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident in which a toddler (1 year three months) died after being run over by a Honda Fit vehicle which was reversing at the yard at a house at Maridale, Norton on 23/09/24 at around 1510 hours. The victim sustained head injuries and died upon admission at a local hospital in Norton.

In a separate incident, an unidentified man died after being struck by a vehicle along the Harare–Mutare Road near the Mutare ZINWA water tanks on Sunday morning.
Police said that the victim was involved in an apparent hit-and-run at around 5 AM, near the 260-kilometre peg on the Harare–Mutare Road. The motorist did not stop after the accident.
The victim’s body was taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital for a post-mortem. Police are appealing for information that may help identify the victim and the motorist involved in this incident.

A toddler was killed by a car that was backing up in a yard in Norton. The child got hurt in the head and died at the hospital. In another accident, a man was hit by a car on the Harare-Mutare Road and the driver didn't stop. The man died and the police are looking for information to find the driver. It's important to be careful around cars to avoid accidents and always stop to help if someone gets hurt.

Toddler Killed By Reversing Car In Yard Accident In Norton

The body of a 12-month-old infant was allegedly stolen from a grave by unknown people in Chisumbanje.
Police said the incident came to light on Saturday 06 May in Musaonyerwa Village.
In a post on the ZRP Twitter page on Monday, Police said the baby died on 7 February this year. Reads the post:

Police in Chisumbanje are investigating circumstances surrounding a case of violating a grave in which a dug-out grave was found, with a missing corpse, on 06/05/23 at Musaonyerwa Village.
The violated grave was that of an infant (12 months) who passed on 07/02/23. The missing corpse has not yet been found.
Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.

Violating a grave refers to any action that desecrates or disturbs the resting place of the dead.
This is considered a serious taboo and disrespectful to the deceased and their family members.
Grave violations in Zimbabwe include digging up graves without proper authorisation, removing or stealing items from graves (such as headstones, ornaments, or even human remains), or using grave sites for purposes other than burial or memorialisation.
A significant proportion of the Zimbabwean population believes in witchcraft and the disappearance of the toddler’s remains could be viewed as the work of witches or people dabbling in “juju” who use human body parts for ritual purposes.
Violating a grave is considered a criminal offence and is punishable under the Burial and Cremation Act.
The penalty for violating a grave can vary depending on the severity of the offense and the circumstances surrounding it.
Those found guilty may face imprisonment for up to two years or be required to pay a fine.

12 Month Old Baby's Grave Dug Up, Body “Stolen”

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has implored the public to cover unprotected water bodies to avoid loss of life after a one year-six months old child recently drowned in a well while trying to get water to drink.
The incident occurred on 28 October 2022 at Mutamba Village under Chief Marozva, Masvingo.
ZRP spokesperson in Masvingo Province, Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the incident.
He said the toddler, Trevor Chakadenga, drowned after he strayed from his mother Rudo Mhere (29) who was tilling a piece of land.
<a href="https://masvingomirror.com/toddler-drowns-in-a-well/">The Mirror</a> reported sources as saying Trevor was playing in a field where his mother was preparing land for the Pfumvudza farming programme close to a hill.
The boy allegedly wandered off from the hill and drowned in a well as he tried to drink water.
After the mother realised that her child was missing, she searched for him around the field only to find his lifeless body floating in the well.
She retrieved the body and reported the matter to the police. A post-mortem was waived by Bikita Resident Magistrate Mugabe.

Toddler Drowns In An Uncovered Well

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a manhunt for the woman who was assaulting her toddler because she was having marital issues with her husband on camera.
The video has since gone viral and it has attracted the attention of the law enforcement officers which have appealed to members of the public with information that might lead to the arrest of the woman to come forward.
In the unfortunate incident that was recorded by the abusive mother, the mother says she suffered with the daughter who she referred to as Natasha, and stayed with her in hospital after she gave birth to her before 9 months.
She goes on to say now that the husband doesn’t want her he is now speaking ill of her. She goes on to say she wants to kill the child and then commit suicide. The woman who will be crying in the video will be assaulting her toddler as she is saying all this. She assaults Natasha with her palms first then with a belt and the unfortunate toddler is heard crying loudly from the physical pain.
ZRP on social media appealed for anyone with information that can identify the woman to come forward and said:
<blockquote>The ZRP is appealing for information which can lead to the location &amp; identification of this woman who is seen in this attached video assaulting her child apparently as a revenge act for a marital dispute with the father of the child.</blockquote>
