Prominent businessman, <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Phillip_Chiyangwa">Phillip Chiyangwa</a>, wedded Sarah Frankis, whom he described as the ultimate woman of his dreams, at a private ceremony at his Borrowdale mansion on Friday.
Captains of industry, religious leaders, including the founder and leader of Prophetic, Healing and Deliverance Ministries Walter Magaya, and some politicians graced the occasion with some of them showcasing their dancing skills.
Speaking to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/ive-found-the-love-of-my-life-phil-chiyangwa/">H-Metro</a>, Chiyangwa, said their love remains unshaken despite the couple going through some difficult times. He said:

It was a long time coming. I had no doubt in my life that she is the one.
Since I laid my eyes on her, I knew, Sarah was the one.
We have been through the best and not so good times but our love is unshaken.
We are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives and for that chapter I wouldn’t have chosen a better partner.
I’m grateful to our close family and friends who joined us for the ceremony on Friday. They made the day extra special.

In March 2018, Phillip Chiyangwa was reported to have been divorced from his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth (nee Jumah) after High Court Judge President Justice George Chiweshe granted the divorce order.
Elizabeth reapplied for nullification of the marriage on 11 January 2018, after making an initial application in 2013 which failed to materialise, following what appeared to have been efforts to resolve the matrimonial impasse.
Elizabeth said she married Chiyangwa on 11 November 1988 in terms of the Marriage Act chapter 37 now Chapter 5:11, but had, however, lost love and affection for the flamboyant businessman over alleged infidelity.
In 2020, Chiyangwa, who sired two children with Pamela Rusere, was ordered to pay $40 000 per month for their maintenance.
In addition, he was ordered to pay R49 000 directly to a school in South Africa, for the children’s education.

Phillip Chiyangwa Weds His "Dream Woman" Sarah Frankis

The High Court has authorised businessman and politician Philip Chiyangwa to evict more than <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/10/10/philip-chiyangwas-farm-invaded/">59 illegal occupiers</a> of his Old Citrus Farm outside Chinhoyi.
<a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/10/10/philip-chiyangwas-farm-invaded/">The invaders</a> had approached the High Court seeking to stop their eviction from the farm that was gazetted in accordance with the law and allocated to Chiyangwa at the height of land reform. 
Their invasion of the farm was in violation of In terms of Section 3 of the Gazetted Lands and Consequential Provisions Act which prohibits continued occupation of gazetted land 90 days after the gazetted date.
They have been resisting eviction from the farm claiming they were in peaceful and undisturbed possession of the pieces of land they occupied, according to <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/chiyangwa-wins-farm-dispute/">The Herald. </a>
They accused Chiyangwa of using a court order to evict them when they were not allegedly cited in the order.
After failing to evict them, Chiyangwa had them arrested for contravening the law ensuring that those possessing gazetted land had to leave. 
After listening to arguments from both parties, Justice Muzofa ruled that the invaders’ right to occupy the land could only be proved by showing that they were in possession of an offer letter, permit or land settlement lease. 
They possessed none of these.

Chiyangwa Authorised To Evict Over 59 Families From Old Citrus Farm

<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Kutama_College">Kutama College</a> in Zvimba which has channelled prominent Zimbabweans including the late former president, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Mugabe</a> caught fire on Monday morning.
The fire started in the television room around 2 am. See pictures below by the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services.

Two Form 3 learners at the school, Takudzwa Machuwe and Kapfumvute Mwamba rescued 185 learners after their hostel caught fire.
The duo is said to have initially tried and failed to extinguish the fire before they quickly sought the support of others. No one was injured in the inferno but they salvaged nothing except their lives.
Meanwhile, Education officials have agreed to give the 200 affected Form 2 boys 2 weeks break while stakeholders work out something. 
ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Zvimba South <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Phillip_Chiyangwa">Phillip Chiyangwa</a> has pledged to donate clothing materials for the production of school uniforms at the school.

The High Court on Monday ordered settlers who invaded a farm belonging to Phillip Chiyangwa, businessman and ZANU PF Zvimba South MP, to vacate.
Chiyangwa took 30 settlers to court after they had invaded the farm and claimed ownership of the property despite the fact that the farm was gazetted.
Last year, Chiyangwa won a similar case, which resulted in the settlers being thrown out of the farm. However, others continued to occupy the farm and allegedly damaged Chiyangwa’s property.
The settlers filed an urgent chamber application against Chiyangwa seeking an order interdicting him from interfering with their occupation.
They also accused him of buying police officers to ensure that they intimidated them, further stating that in fear of victimisation by the MP, they are staying in the mountains.
But High Court judge Justice Pisirayi Kwenda, in his ruling yesterday, said the invaders had come to Chiyangwa’s farm with dirty hands. Justice Kwenda said:
<blockquote>
In deciding this matter, I make the following findings: A person in occupation of gazetted land must give up occupation or use of such land voluntarily. Because the law commands him or her to do so, he or she has a lawful authority to remain in occupation or use the land. Similarly, no one may take occupation or use of gazetted land without lawful authority.
</blockquote>
The judge said anyone who remained in occupation of the land would be committing a crime.
He said the settlers were aware that the land they occupy was duly acquired by the State and gazetted, therefore, they don’t have to wait to be evicted as the law requires them to give up occupation voluntarily.
He added that the police officers were only exercising their law enforcement duties, adding that it was the duty of the sheriff to evict them.

Chiyangwa Wins Farm Ownership Case

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) and COSAFA President Phillip Chiyangwa was announced as the winner for Zvimba South constituency.
In results announced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC), Chiyangwa attained 11 819 votes beating former Zanu-PF politician Walter Chidhakwa who was the runner up with 4 856. Chiyangwa faces another election on December 1 this year when ZIFA holds elections.

ZIFA President Phillip Chiyangwa Wins Parliamentary Seat

ZIFA president Phillip Chiyangwa and his deputy Omega Sibanda who running for parliamentary seats under Zanu-PF have indicated that they will are seeking re-election for their current positions. Their allies have also backed them. Mashonaland West Zifa chairperson Derick Matapure said,
<blockquote>One of the reasons I am going to seek re-election is because we have to stand by Philip Chiyangwa and vote him back into office, he needs our vote. He has proven to be a good leader and certainly deserves another term. On the personal front, I am confident of bouncing back into office because of the good, traceable work I have done.
When I came into office we only had two teams in the first division, while we had no representation in the premier league. However, now we have two teams in the Premier League and eight teams in the first division.</blockquote>

Chiyangwa To Seek Re-election As Zifa President

Former Zifa president Vincent Pamire has scoffed at the ban that was imposed on him by underfire Zifa president Phillip Chiyangwa. <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/04/13/zifa-bans-former-president-from-taking-part-in-football-related-activities/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Chiyangwa banned former Zifa presidents Pamire, Trevor Carelse-Juul, Rafik Khan</a> and former board member Eusebio Maseko from all football activities for questioning the Zifa leadership’s legitimacy.  Speaking to The Standard, Pamire said,
<blockquote>I don’t know how he (Chiyangwa) can ban a former president; we are stakeholders according to our constitution and life honorary members of Zifa. In any case, his term of office has expired, how can you be banned by someone who is no longer in office? He has no authority to ban us and what he is doing does not build sport.
All dictators do that (cling to power). Remember Idi Amin, when he was running away and crossing the Nile he kept on saying tell them I’m still their leader when he had run away. Saddam Hussein was in a hole, but he kept on saying I’m president of Iraq when he was in the hole.</blockquote>

Former Zifa President Scoffs At Ban, Says Chiyangwa Is A Dictator

Zimbabwe Football Association president Phillip Chiyangwa has pledged that his organisation will appoint a new substantive coach by the end of the year. The Warriors have not had a substantive coach since Callisto Pasuwa left. They have been under caretaker coaches, with Norman Mapeza in charge of the AFCON campaign while Sunday Chidzambwa took care of the CHAN and COSAFA competitions.
However, Chiyangwa could not be drawn into revealing the name and nationality of the new coach.

Zifa promises to appoint substantive Warriors coach by the end of the year

The Zimbabwe FootballAssociation (Zifa) is reported to be using Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa’s private business premises as its base where it is paying rentals of $10 000 per month. After his election as president in 2015, Chiyangwa allegedly forced Zifa to move away from Zifa headquarters in the Avenues after alleging that Number 53 Livingstone Avenue was cursed as it had been raided by creditors on a number of occasions.
Zifa is also alleged to be leasing office furniture from Hansporte Investment — a private company. The directors of Hansporte are Marshall Jonga and Beatrice Musavengana, who are all employed by Chiyangwa in his private businesses.
Chiyangwa did not comment on the issue.

Zifa allegedly renting Chiyangwa's private business premises for $10 000 per month

Former Zifa President Leo Mugabe has Criticised current Zifa president Phillip Chiyangwa for the way he rescinded the red card given to Dynamos’ striker Christian Epoupa. Mugabe advised Chiyangwa to seek advice from those who were more knowledgeable about football matters so that he could avoid conflict of interest issues. Said Mugabe:
<blockquote>It’s not ideal at all to have the Zifa president chairing the Referees Committee because it [the committee] makes decisions, which can be appealed and the appeal process is such that the matter will end up with the Zifa board.
There is clear conflict of interest because, as the president, you would want a situation where due process is followed and if it’s you who is not following due process, who is overseeing who?
I think they need to seek advice from those that know the game of football. They might not have the same money as they have but there are people out here who have a lot of experience insofar as soccer is concerned. You cannot equal it [experience] to anything else</blockquote>

Businesman and Zifa president Phillip Chiyangwa has launched his own clothing label called “Apa Hauna Cash.” The literal meaning of the brand is “you don’t have money.” So far the brand has round neck t-shirts ranging from $5-$8 and the golf t-shirts available for between $8,50 and $9,50. The shirts have Chiyangwa’s signature on them.

Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa has spoken out against images circulating on social media which make fun of Tourism Minister<a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/05/12/mzembi-loses-untwo-post-georgias-zurab-pololikashvili/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"> Walter Mzembi’s UNWTO Election loss</a>. Mzembi who was aiming to become secretary General of the UNWTO lost the runoff 15-18 to Mr. Zurab Pololikashvilli of Georgia. In the message circulating on social media, Chiyangwa allegedly chides a “cashless” Mzembi for going to the elections without a campaign manager.
Said Chiyangwa:
<blockquote>I have seen an image circulating on social media with me being quoted defaming Dr. Mzembi.
Let me urge those circulating this defamatory image to desist from doing so.
I have great respect for Minister Mzembi and he displayed tireless effort in campaigning for the UNWTO post. I sympathize with him for the loss. The defamatory image circulating on social media should be dismissed with the contempt it deserves.</blockquote>

Chiyangwa denies making fun of Mzembi's UNWTO Election loss, says he sympathises

<blockquote>The Ministry of Sport and Recreation is delighted to join the nation in congratulating Dr Phillip Chiyangwa on his recent appointment as vice president for the Africa Cup of Nations Committee.
The Minister of Sport and Recreation Makhosini Hlongwane said this new soccer administration assignment conferred to Dr Chiyangwa unequivocally illustrates Zimbabwe’s sport administration gravitas which continues to impact regional, continental and international spheres of influence.
“To this effect, the sky is the limit for Dr Philip Chiyangwa and other sport administrators in Zimbabwe,” he said.
In his ascendency as CAF vice president, Dr Chiyangwa must be assured that he has the support of Zimbabwe’s sport constituency which in essence is an embodiment of the Ministry of Sport and Recreation’s Sport Diplomacy Programme, notes the Sports Minister.

Sky is the limit for Chiyangwa says Govt after Caf appointment

Zifa President Phillip Chiyangwa donated football equipment to 154 football teams in the Zimbabwe Republic Police. This is Zifa’s third donation in the last month with earlier donations to the Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League and the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services.   Chiyangwa said he wanted to spread the game of football across the whole country and to discover new talent.
Said Chiyangwa:
<blockquote>There is talent that I want to pick from there and nurture it because we would want to have as many football teams as we can in Zimbabwe.
We have to emulate China, they are doing the same programme with so much success. They are even importing world stars so that their players learn from them.
They are building huge facilities. I am scheduled to travel to China in order to establish some sort of relationship so that we can even have our players going there.
So I will provide equipment and material enough for 154 teams.</blockquote>

Zifa donates football equipment to ZRP

Local government minister Saviour Kasukuwere has vowed to expose Phillip Chiyangwa’s corrupt land deals. This comes after Chiyangwa called Kasukuwere a mere driver who is demanding bribes to provide services. Kasukuwere went on to call Chiyangwa a broke Rhodesian policeman who is going to be exposed for all his corrupt land deals. He also hit back at Chiyangwa’s driver insult by saying that Chiyangwa was also a driver for Chief Jeremiah Chirau who is considered a sellout.
Said Kasukuwere
<blockquote>He is a loud-mouthed and broke bloke. He should report to Zacc [Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission] and not fund chaos within the party. We will get to the bottom of his shenanigans and he will not get away with the massive corruption he has perpetrated in local authorities and the State land office.
The Rhodesian policeman is crazy. What about him, who was the driver of Chief Chirau? Zupo [Zimbabwe United People’s Organisation]
…Chiyangwa has been corrupting ministry officials and managed to steal almost 12 million hectares of land in this country.  I am merely doing my job. I am trying to inquire on how he acquired the land and he is trying to cover up for his criminality.

Rhodesian policeman Chiyangwa is broke and he will not get away with all the land he has stolen: Kasukuwere hit back

Businessman and politician Phillip Chiyangwa has hit back hard at embattled Zanu PF National Political Commissar Saviour Kasukuwere. Chiyangwa called Kasukuwere one of the most corrupt ministers and alleged that he asked for a $5 million bribe from him. Kasukuwere started the war of words when he in his press statement he said:
<blockquote>In order to protect and assert my legal rights, I have initiated lawsuits against these corrupt and rogue elements, some of whom were openly part of the Rhodesian security apparatus.</blockquote>
A direct reference at Chiyangwa who was was part of the British South Africa Police African reserve force. Chiyangwa did not take this well and responded with
<blockquote>I saw him rise with [under] my own guidance and today I am talking about somebody who is no longer suitable to hold the national political commissar position because he asks for bribes (sic).
He wanted bribes for every service that he gave and that to me, a central committee member, why would he want a bribe so that he gives me what is due to me?
…It is his persistence for a bribe that p*ssed me off. You ask me for a bribe, when you have a directive from the President to give me back what is due to me? I said I will not take this s**t.
He is a bribe taker. I can say he is one of the biggest corrupt ministers in the Mugabe government and we cannot go with him to the next election (sic). Every ministry that he has been (in) he will be taking bribes, just to provide an ordinary facilitation service he wants money
Look at Venezuela, Maduro is a driver. He is the Kasukuwere [of that country]. We are in trouble with drivers. Look at this driver here. He must say which way he wants to go if he doesn’t want to go the Hayatou way because he must go and we will follow him that way.</blockquote>

Businessman Phillip Chiyangwa is set to be given Tanlallon Estate in Manyame in compensation of the land he lost in Stoneridge after it was occupied by city residents.
Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Permanent Secretary Engineer George Mlilo wrote
<blockquote>Reference is made to your letter dated 9th March 2017 and I write to advise as follows: Ministry is currently finalising the allocation and transfer of Tantallon Estate in the Mhanyame area equivalent in size to your farm Subdivision A of Stoneridge measuring 586,896 hectares as per agreement dated 5th February 2015.
The portion of Amalish (measuring roughly 40 hectares) part of Subdivision A of Stoneridge where you have expressed interest to have it exercised will form part of the settlement as discussed.

Zifa President and self-proclaimed king of selfies <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Phillip_Chiyangwa">Phillip Chiyangwa</a> posted a selfie video in which he calls for the downfall of CAF President Issa Hayatou. Chiyangwa starts off singing along to <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Oliver_Mtukudzi">Oliver Mutukudzi</a> and <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Winky_D">Winky D</a>‘s song Panorwadza Moyo. The flamboyant businessman is already in trouble with the Cameroon strongman after CAF <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/news/2017/02/24/caf-warns-chiyangwa-following-cosafa-victory-birthday-celebrations/" target="_blank">wrote to Chiyangwa telling him that he will be on the agenda when </a>CAF holds its next executive committee meeting. This comes after Chiyangwa held a lavish birthday party which was attended by FIFA president Gianni Infantino, which CAF looked on as an unsanctioned meeting.

Addressing a media conference in <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Harare">Harare</a> yesterday, Minister of Sports and Recreation, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Makhosini_Hlongwane">Makhosini Hlongwane</a> urged <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Football_Association">Zifa</a> and the <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_Premier_Soccer_League">PSL</a> to find a lasting solution to their conflict over relegation and promotion. He also said the timing for the announcement of the relegation procedure was not right.
Hlongwane also said that Government condemns the culture of making quick uninformed decisions. He said,
<blockquote>The Ministry of Sport and Recreation wishes to inform the nation that the events unfolding within the football sector in general and its administration in particular are of concern to the Government. We deplore, in the strongest terms possible, the culture of taking hasty decisions that seem to be informed by expediency rather than rational thoughtfulness.</blockquote>
The Minister said the football mother body should put their house in order as a matter of urgency. He also took time to point out that ZIFA is not a political organisation, it’s a football administration authority and that Government wants football leadership in the country to be cautious in terms of how they arrive at these decisions.
