Controversial South African preacher Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng has announced that he will move his church from its Katlehong location, finally obeying what he claims is God’s instruction dating back to 2019.
This decision follows the destruction of the Incredible Happenings Ministries structure in August after Motsoeneng was arrested.
He, along with his son Revival and bodyguard Clement Baloyi, faces at least six charges, including kidnapping, related to an incident at Matsediso Primary School on 5 August, where they allegedly abducted two minors.
A viral video showed the three men armed with machetes and a replica assault rifle as they forcibly took the children.
Although released on bail, Mboro’s conditions permit him to continue his work as a church leader and engage in community projects.
Addressing his congregation on Sunday, Motsoeneng said he is finally heeding God’s instruction to leave the Katlehong stand. He said (via <a href="https://www.citizen.co.za/news/mboro-to-move-katlehong-church/">Citizen</a>):

I said a week before they burnt the tent that God wanted me to leave this place and if I didn’t leave, they will destroy it, and it happened as God warned me. I need to go and touch people all over South Africa.
We are leaving this place of shame. I am moving today. It’s finally dawned for me. The church is gone, and the premises, sound system, and extra tents are gone. The 100-metre tent is gone and that’s not peanuts.
I am a church. God does not only dwell in the buildings but in me as a church. We’re using this rented tent and for my status as Ntate Mboro, it doesn’t suit me, it’s garbage, it’s lowlife, for the quality of the people here too, and my mother is also not impressed with this tent.
Every time I come here, I’m hanging onto something that’s gone. So, we have to leave and be in a decent place where we will need to start over.

He said his congregants are currently in discussions about the church’s new location. The final service at the current site is scheduled for 8 December.

Mboro says God warned him to leave or his church would be destroyed. He is leaving his current location in Katlehong and looking for a new place. His last service will be on 8th December. He believes God is in him, not just in buildings. The new location for his church is still being discussed.

Controversial South African cleric Pastor Mboro, whose real name is Paseka Motsoeneng, has released a new song titled “Ngiyaba Slicer,” just days after spending 40 days in prison.
Motsoeneng was last month released on R3 000 bail while his co-accused, while his co-accused, his bodyguard Vincent Baloyi, was released on a warning. Both are scheduled to return to court on October 21.
On Sunday, a video of the pastor singing went viral on social media, surprising many with his newfound musical interest.
In the song, Motsoeneng asserts that no matter how many adversaries he faces, he will “slice” them, which some interpret as a reference to his detractors.
In an interview with <a href="https://nehandaradio.com/2024/10/09/pastor-mboro-turns-to-music-releases-amapiano-song-inspired-by-stay-in-jail/">TshisaLIVE</a>, Mboro explained that his inspiration to record the song came from the talented individuals he encountered during his time in prison. He said:

I have to officially release the song, I need to apply my mind to it have clarity, and understand how music works.
While I was in prison I heard songs and I’d like to meet the guys who did the songs. I think we have talent in South Africa.

Mboro, Baloyi, and his son are facing 12 charges, including kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and assault.
The charges stem from an incident at Matsediso Primary School in Katlehong, where the three men allegedly kidnapped two minors on August 5.
A video of the incident went viral on social media, capturing the trio armed with machetes and an assault rifle as they forcibly took the children.

Controversial South African pastor, Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng, leader of Incredible Happenings church says the rains currently pounding his country and Zimbabwe are a result of his intercessory prayers.
Motsoeneng told African News Agency (ANA) on Friday that God sent him as the voice to break the drought in the region. He said:
<blockquote>I was reading news articles on the internet about the drought in Zimbabwe, and the elephants dying due to the drought. Here in South Africa, there was massive talk about water shortage and water shortage was in the news. There was going to be an urgent council meeting in Ekurhuleni about water scarcity and in Hammanskraal there has been news about water shortage.
I was sent as the voice that would bring solutions from God to this country and our neighbours. I sent a message to Ekurhuleni Mayor [Mzwandile Masina] telling him not to worry because I was prophesying rain for the next seven weeks. I also got calls for intervention from Maluti-a-Phofung’s new Mayor [Masechaba Mosia Lakaje] and Pastor Tebogo Mofokeng [of the Mountain Deliverance Prophetic Ministries in Qwa Qwa] as rivers were dry.</blockquote>
