The <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Meteorological_Services_Department">Meteorological Services Department (MSD)</a> of Zimbabwe has forecasted windy weather conditions from Saturday onwards. In a weather update seen by Pindula News, MSD also reported that Tropical Storm Freddy influenced the weather conditions recorded in the eastern and southern parts of Zimbabwe. Reads the update: 
<h2>ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS FRIDAY 10 MARCH 2023 VALID UNTIL SUNDAY 12 MARCH 2023.</h2>
Severe Tropical Storm Freddy is still in the Mozambique Channel (more than 500 km east of Nyanga) heading towards the north coast of Mozambique (near Quelimane). Freddy’s outer-spiral cloud bands (stretching over more than a 750 km radius) resulted in cloudy, windy and mild conditions over the southern and eastern parts of the country (Matabeleland South, Masvingo, south-western parts of Midlands, Harare Metropolitan, Manicaland and all Mashonaland Provinces), with light drizzle in Masvingo, Manicaland and southern parts of Mashonaland East. Other parts of the country had mostly sunny but also became windy towards evening.
<h2>FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, SATURDAY 11 MARCH 2023 </h2>
Windy conditions are expected over much of the country, strengthening towards evening. It should be mild in Masvingo, Manicaland, Harare Metropolitan and all Mashonaland Provinces, with partly cloudy conditions at first becoming cloudy towards evening with light rain, especially over high ground. Mostly sunny and warm are anticipated in all other areas (Bulawayo Metropolitan, Midlands as well as Matabeleland North and South Provinces), though mild in the morning and windy towards evening.
<h2>IMPACTS</h2>
Wind Gusts increase the probability of lost debris or roofs being blown-off. The wind factor makes the real-feel temperature much less than the actual. Light rains may affect outdoor activities.
<h2>ACTION TO TAKE</h2>
• Secure rooftops and insure any loose objects that can be easily carried by the wind are secure. 
• Avoid being outdoors during episodes of strong winds as debris carried by the wind can cause harm and injury. 
• Ensure vulnerable persons are kept warm and safe, especially towards evening when winds are expected to strengthen. 
• Plan with the weather in mind as light rains and strong winds are anticipated especially over the eastern and southern parts of the country.
<h2>WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SUNDAY 12 MARCH 2023</h2>
Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan, southern areas of the Midlands, Masvingo, Manicaland, Harare Metropolitan, Mashonaland east and eastern districts of Mashonaland Central should be mostly cloudy, windy and mild with intermittent light rain in places. All other areas, namely Matabeleland North, northern parts of the Midlands, Mashonaland West and western parts of Mashonaland Central, are expected to be partly cloudy and warm, with a generally light breeze, though slight gusts are probable, particularly overnight.

The <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Meteorological_Services_Department">Meteorological Services Department (MSD)</a> of Zimbabwe has forecasted that most parts of the country will experience sunny weather conditions on Monday. 
In a weather report and forecast seen by Pindula News, MSD urged members to take safety precaution measures to avoid disasters associated with the rainy season. Reads the weather update:
<h2>ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS SATURDAY 04 MARCH 2023 VALID UNTIL MONDAY 06 MARCH 2023.</h2>
<h2>PREAMBLE</h2>
Cloudy conditions prevailed in the morning in southern provinces in the morning with patchy drizzle and rain in some areas. Mashonaland Central, Mashonaland East, and Harare Metropolitan Provinces experienced isolated thunderstorms. Significant rainfall amounts that were measured were 48mm at Guruve Met Office and 13mm at the Gokwe Met office. The rest of the country (Mashonaland West, and Matabeleland North Province) had mostly sunny and warm weather.
<h2>FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, SUNDAY 05 MARCH 2023</h2>
Most parts of the country should be under mostly sunny conditions with light breeze except for the extreme north and eastern parts of the country namely Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central and northern parts of Manicaland Province where brief cloudy periods are expected in the afternoon with a chance of isolated thunderstorms.
<h2>IMPACTS</h2>
•  Even when skies seem clear overhead, lightning remains a threat, as thunderstorm clouds may be near. 
• Temperature fluctuations may affect vulnerable members of society. 
• Rain may affect plans in some areas. Plan with the weather in mind.
<h2>ACTIONS TO TAKE</h2>
• Avoid parking your vehicle under or near trees as tree branches/or entire tree trunks may fall.
• Avoid crossing rivers or streams on foot or in a vehicle; just 30cm depth of flowing water can sweep away large vehicles &amp; bridges might have been washed away. Wait for the rain/flood water to subside. 
• When lightning is visible or thunder audible, go indoors and avoid contact with water or metal objects. 
• Ensure that the elderly and young are kept warm, especially towards evening in Provinces such as Matabeleland South and Bulawayo Metropolitan

Expect plenty of sunshine across the country during the day. It should be mild in the morning and warm in the afternoon.
