Zimbabwe plans to export raw water to Limpopo Province in South Africa from Masvingo Province in the next few years.
<a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/zim-eyes-water-exports-to-sa/">The Herald</a> reported that the water will be piped from the planned Runde-Tende Dam set to be built at the confluence of the Runde and Tende rivers in the southern Chivi district.
Upon completion, Runde-Tende Dam will overtake Tugwi-Mukosi (pictured), which is also located in Masvingo Province, as Zimbabwe’s largest inland water body.
The Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira on Monday, 04 March said Zimbabwe will work with South Africa in building the dam. Said Chadzamira:

Besides helping the province achieve its goals of creating a vast greenbelt in the Lowveld stretching from Rutenga in the west to Chiredzi, water from the Runde-Tende Dam will also be exported to South Africa’s Limpopo Province and Zimbabwe will work with South Africa to build the dam.

Runde-Tende will be about two and a half times bigger than Tugwi-Mukosi upon completion.
Last month, the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Anxious Masuka reiterated the Government’s plans to sell water to South Africa, with an initial 15 million cubic litres set to be piped every month to Musina.
He said a pipeline is set to be constructed from Beitbridge’s massive Zhovhe Dam to Musina in South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

South Africa To Draw Water From Planned Runde-Tende Dam In Masvingo

Chief Fortune Charumbira has vowed to fight Masvingo West MP Ezra Chadzamira, who is also Minister of State for Provincial Affairs for Masvingo, saying he (Charumbira) does like him (Chadzamira) “because of the way he does his things”, <a href="https://tellzim.com/i-will-fight-chadzamira-till-end-chief-charumbira/">reported TellZim News</a>.
Charumbira, who is battling to remain the president of the Pan African Parliament (PAP), said he will ensure that Chadzamira will not retain the Masvingo West Constituency seat come 2028.
The traditional leader has being accused of corruption by one of the vice presidents at PAP, among other allegations.
Addressing his subjects in Ward 12 recently, Charumbira said they should start looking for another candidate to represent ZANU PF in Masvingo West Constituency in 2028. He said:

I know the issue about the MP (Chadzamira) that you are not happy about.
He has too many issues which I’m sure you don’t know but I know them and I am going to expose him in the not so distant future.
Of all the MPS who have been here like the late Mudhenge (Stan) and Mavhaire (Dzikamai), they never addressed meetings in my absence but this one (Chadzamira) did that and you never bothered to ask him why?
You should have asked him why he was addressing his rallies in my absence.
He (Chadzamira) fought me and I’m going to fight back – that’s who I am. I am a hard nut to crack; I want to finish him – let us plan and find someone among our people to replace Chadzamira.
Don’t tell me that we cannot find one of our own here in Wards 12, 11 or 9. If you fail to get one then I will put an advert in the press saying we are looking for someone willing to become our MP because we do not have one,
Even the President knows this; I told him that I don’t get along with him (Chadzamira) because of the way he does his things.

It is alleged that ZANU PF lost Wards 11 and 12 because Charumbira campaigned against Chadzamira.
However, during his address, Charumbira blamed Chadzamira for the loss saying people voted for CCC because they did not want the MP.
Contacted for comment by TellZim News, Chadzamira said that he respects traditional leaders and it was their right to have different views. He said:

I want to that the people of Masvingo for voting peacefully and now that election time is over, we have to work together for development and to achieve the President’s vision 2030.
I respect traditional leaders very much and it is their right to have different opinions and views but what is important is for people to unite and work together.
I encourage everyone to put hands on the deck to work for development whilst respecting traditional leaders and their views.

Chief Charumbira Vows To Fight And "Finish" Off Ezra Chadzamira

Former ZANU PF national political commissar Retired Brigadier General Engelbert Rugeje was defeated by little-known Cecilia Chabaya in the 9 October 2022 Central Committee elections in Bikita.
<a href="https://tellzim.com/wheelchair-bound-woman-defeats-army-general-in-zanu-pf-cc-elections/">TellZim News</a> reported sources as saying Rugeje had to be rescued by Bikita South MP Josiah Sithole who withdrew from the race to pave way for him to find a spot on the committee. Said a source:

Rugeje lost to Gogo Chabaya, a Chadzamira loyalist and to neutralize Chadzamira’s hold in Bikita, they had to talk to Sithole to step down and pave way for Rugeje.
</blockquote>
However, ZANU PF Masvingo Provincial spokesperson Ophias Murambiwa denied the claims, insisting that party rules dictated that Rugeje was not supposed to be contested. Said Murambiwa:

That’s a lie, Sithole could not pave way for Gen Rugeje because they are not from the same constituency.
What I know is Hon Madhuku (Johnson) is the one who submitted his CV and later withdrew.

ZANU PF Masvingo Province is reportedly divided into two groups, with one faction reportedly led by chairman Robson Mavhenyengwa while the other faction is allegedly led by his predecessor Ezra Chadzamira.
The two factions are said to be offshoots of the alleged ruling party factions between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy Constantino Chiwenga.
Chadzamira, who is the Minister of State, is allegedly fronting the Mnangagwa faction while Mavhenyengwa leads the Chiwenga faction.
The Mavhenyengwa faction enjoys control of Gutu, Zaka, Chivi and Mwenezi districts and has a faction in Bikita while the Chadzamira faction has total hold of Masvingo and Chiredzi districts, reported TellZim News.
Other ZANU PF bigwigs who lost in the recent Central Committee elections include ZANU PF Chief Whip and Gutu South MP Pupurai Togrepi who was defeated by former Chief Whip and Secretary for Security Lovemore Matuke.
Former Chivi North MP Paul Mangwana who is the party’s national secretary for Legal Affairs lost to Ephraim Gwanongodza in Chivi District.

Retired Army General, Engelbert Rugeje, Loses In ZANU PF CC Elections

Masvingo West legislator <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Ezra_Chadzamira">Ezra Chadzamira</a> who is also the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs in Masvingo has assisted in the transformation of a number of satellite schools in his constituency.  
Chadzamira who was first elected into office in 2013, constructed modern classroom blocks at the schools, and drilled at least 25 solar-powered boreholes around the constituency, with the majority of these boreholes cited at the newly established schools.
The Midweek Watch toured wards 10, 11 and 12, and observed that satellite schools, Ruvhune Secondary, Gwengavi Primary, Chirichoga Primary and Mukonde Secondary Schools had been transformed.
Ruvhune Secondary school in ward 10 was a satellite school of Chirichonga and Mudavanhu high school which are some 18km away.
The school was established in 2016, three years after Chadzamira was voted into office, and now has an enrollment of 220 students, from form one to four.
An unnamed teacher who was manning the school who spoke to the Midweek Watch said pupils used to learn under trees and makeshift structures until Chadzamira intervened. 
At Gwengavi Primary School, a borehole was drilled while construction of the school’s fourth block is already underway after authorities had turned one of the teachers’ cottages into a classroom.
The new classroom block is expected to be completed before the end of the school term in August.
The school head Dudzai Masunga said they hoped the legislator will chip in with an additional classroom block as well as set up a 
perimeter fence to protect the school’s infrastructure.
Another school that was established is Chirichoga Primary School in ward 11. The Midweek Watch reports that the school was built from scratch and now has five classroom blocks. The school is also fenced and has a solar-powered borehole to serve the community and the pupils.

Chadzamira Assists In The Construction of Schools In Masvingo

The Minister of Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Masvingo, Ezra Chadzamira, has told civil servants to work for ZANU PF claiming it is the ruling party that is paying them so that they can eat and go to the toilet.
Chadzamira made the remarks at a soil and water conservation launch day that was held at Bengo homestead in Masvingo rural Ward 11 on Friday last week.
The function was organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Fisheries’ department of mechanisation.
Chadzamira’ who was reportedly angered by Agritex officers’ refusal to cooperate with the ruling party, warned that civil servants who are not allegiant to ZANU PF will be fired soon. He said:

Civil servants must know that they are working for a ZANU PF Government and it is the one that makes them able to visit the toilet.
</blockquote>
The gathering had civil servants from different Government Departments as well as the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
Chadzamira promised civil servants that they will also be included in social welfare programmes as Government is aware that they are also suffering.

Expelled former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu, has formally written to the Masvingo ZANU PF provincial leadership requesting to be re-admitted into the party.
In his letter to ZANU PF Masvingo provincial chairman and Zaka North MP, Robson Mavhenyengwa, Zivhu apologised for disregarding party protocol which resulted in his expulsion from the party in 2020. He wrote:

This letter follows my first letter of the 1st of March 2022 and the subsequent comment by Chivi DCC chairman submitted on the 23rd of March 2022.
First Cde chairman, I surrender myself to the revolutionary party, ZANU PF and apologetically regret my wrongdoing that violated the party’s constitution and its operational procedure, values and norms.
I apologise with my deepest sincerity and by way of this letter humbly apply for readmission.
</blockquote>
Zivhu also denied reports that he engaged in negotiations with the opposition.
He claimed that it was the opposition that tried to influence him into becoming its member, adding that he refused and informed them that his home was and will always be ZANU PF.
Zivhu was expelled by the ZANU PF Politburo when it sat for its 340th Ordinary Session in June 2020 following a recommendation by the party’s National Disciplinary Committee (NDC).
His home province, Masvingo, then led by Ezra Chadzamira who was the chairman, had recommended having Zivhu expelled from the party over the disregard of party protocol.
Zivhu had used social media to push for a meeting between First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and opposition leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife Sithokozile.
Meanwhile, Mavhenyengwa confirmed that Zivhu had formally written to the party, adding the provincial leadership was yet to look into the matter.
Mavhenyengwa affirmed that as per ZANU PF position if Zivhu was to be readmitted, he will start from cells as an ordinary member.

Killer Zivhu Formally Applies To Rejoin ZANU PF

Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF), has lambasted Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister Ezra Chadzamira following reports that the latter lost the chairmanship in the recently-held ZANU PF provincial elections to Robison Mavenyengwa.
Zivhu was expelled from ZANU PF in June last year after he used social media to urge first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa’s wife, Sithokozile Chamisa, to push for dialogue between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his rival.
His popularity with party structures in Masvingo Province was reportedly his downfall as a faction aligned to the then provincial chairperson, Chadzamira, recommended his expulsion from the ruling party.
With unconfirmed reports indicating that Chadzamira lost to Mavenyengwa, Zivhu took to Twitter to express his joy over the development.
The former Chivi Rural District Council (RDC) council chairperson ominously warned Chadzamira that he has not yet done with him. <a href="https://twitter.com/killerzivhu1/status/1476425365031641089?s=20">Tweeted Zivhu:</a>

Meanwhile, ZANU PF is yet to announce the official results for the provincial elections held on 28 December in spite of having pledged to release them starting mid-morning on the 29th.

Killer Zivhu Threatens To Go After Chadzamira

Minister of State for Masvingo and ZANU PF provincial chairperson candidate, Ezra Chadzamira, has appealed against ongoing provincial elections alleging rigging.
Chadzamira was Masvingo ZANU PF provincial chairman until the structures were disbanded ahead of the elections.
The Mirror reports that the Minister of Information Monica Mutsvangwa and the Foreign Affairs Minister Frederick Shava who are overseeing elections in Masvingo have refused to accept the appeal letters.
Sources say Chadzamira appealed after seven districts in Masvingo West constituency were barred from voting.
The appeals come after Chadzamira was humiliated in Gutu where he got 508 votes while his opponent and Zaka North MP Robson Mavenyengwa got 8 098 votes.
The districts were barred after it emerged that they do not have cells and branches and were doctored up during the recently held chaotic district elections.
Elections held in Masvingo Urban Ward 2 yesterday were nullified and started afresh today after it emerged that 18 of the 40 voters were not in party structures. Said one of the sources:

The matter is arising from unverified district election results which believed to have been doctored. The structures that were allegedly doctored up in Masvingo West do not have cells and branches and were disqualified on that basis.
The elections overseers refused to accept his letters because he has no grounds of appeal.

Chadzamira’s aides were recently seen offering food hampers to the electorate, a gesture viewed as meant to buy votes. 
 The result is considered as a reflection of factionalism in the ruling party. Chadzamira is believed to be an ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa while Mavenyengwa is said to belong to the other faction that supports Vice President Constantino Chiwenga.

Masvingo Provincial Chairmanship: Chadzamira Appeals Elections Following Defeat

ZANU PF supporters in Masvingo Thursday staged a second demonstration against the Minister of State for Masvingo, Ezra Chadzamira accusing the top politician of engaging in corrupt activities.
The demonstration at the ZANU PF provincial offices was staged a day before Vice President Constantino Chiwenga’s visit to the city Friday for a clean-up campaign.
Zanu PF Women’s League members donning party regalia, waved placards denouncing Chadzamira accusing him of corruption and dividing the ruling party.
The minister, who doubles as the party’s provincial chairperson, stands accused of allocating land and mining claims to close allies while abusing his political muscle.
ZANU PF Masvingo provincial commissar Jevas Masosota confirmed there was a demonstration against Chadzamira but said the party was fully behind the embattled minister despite the shenanigans to soil his name.
He suggested that the demonstration could be connected to the upcoming ZANU PF provincial elections.
Chadzamira who is said to be a top ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa was recently arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) over alleged corruption. 
However, the matter was dropped following the intervention of senior ZANU PF officials.
Reports suggest that there has been intense fighting between Chadzamira and his Vice-Chairperson Robson Mavhenyengwa who is allegedly eyeing to take over the chairmanship post from Chadzamira.
Meanwhile, former ZANU PF MP for Chivi South, Killer Zivhu has warned that the opposition MDC Alliance will gain ground in the province if the intraparty fighting continues. He said:

The confusion in Masvingo Province is a big advantage to Chamisa, mukaita zvokutamba mukomana Masvingo unopinda akavhara kumeso chaiko. [Chamisa will easily take Masvingo if you continue fighting] This demonstrations must be solved nicely kwete zviya zvechibhinya bhinya [not violently], vatotanga kuti #NgaapindeHakeMukomana kumamisha hazviperi mushe. [the rural folks have already started chanting Chamisa’s slogan – NgaapindeHakeMukomana].

Earlier this year, war veterans staged another demonstration in Chiredzi against Chadzamira over the corrupt allocation of sugarcane plots in the Lowveld.

ZANU PF Supporters Protest Against 'Corrupt Chadzamira'

The Minister of State for Masvingo Province Ezra Chadzamira has been arrested for alleged corruption involving sugarcane plots at Kilimanjaro. 
A senior police officer in Masvingo <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/minister-chadzamira-arrested/">confirmed Minister Chadzamira’s arrest</a> but declined to provide more details.
The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) also confirmed the arrest saying he is under investigation for alleged corrupt activities involving the allocation of land in Chiredzi.
In a statement Zacc said:
<blockquote>
 The matter is still under investigation, which are nearing completion especially after receiving further instructions from the National Prosecution Authority.
</blockquote>
Zacc also stated that a warned and cautioned statement was recorded.
Early this year, there were reports of corruption in the allocation of land in Chiredzi.
The allocations were spearheaded by Ezra Chadzamira and acting provincial lands officer Tendai Mumera.
In May, the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Resettlement <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2021/05/29/lands-officer-transferred-after-exposing-corruption/">transferred Chiredzi lands officer Honest Mapfumo to Harare in a move viewed as victimisation for his role in exposing the alleged corruption.</a>
Mapfumo is a key witness in a case in which the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (Zacc) is investigating corrupt allocation of land including sugarcane plots in Chiredzi.
In April, Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga ordered the scrapping of a land allocation schedule which would have benefitted over 40 people who were set to get sugarcane plots under the Kilimanjaro sugarcane project.
He cited corruption and the sidelining of locals in the selection process.
Some observers argued that Chadzamira was a strong ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and was, therefore, going to be released.

Minister Of State For Masvingo Ezra Chadzamira Arrested

Masvingo Provincial Affairs minister Ezra Chadzimira reportedly formed a syndicate to mine gold at a gold-rich claim in Rumwanda or Hwendedzo, Masvingo North and excluded President Mnangagwa’s brothers Benson and David and their sons despite the Mnangagwa brothers’ numerous pleas to be included in the venture, NewZimbabwe reports.
Last month, Chadzamira reportedly used ZRP and soldiers to drive out all artisanal miners in the gold-rich area and then formed a powerful alliance with war veterans and other syndicates in the area to continue mining there, after driving out close to 100 artisanal miners.
A source privy to the ongoing in the area told the publication that Zanu PF cars were seen in the area at first but now they are using different top of the range vehicles:
<blockquote>During the early days, they would arrive driving in marked Zanu PF vehicles, but are now using different top-of-the-range cars.</blockquote>
A villager that spoke to the publication on the issue said Chadzamira’s people are even treating them unfairly:
<blockquote>We are being treated unfairly. We are the first people who started mining at this place but when the minister came everything changed.
Whatever we find we split it with the syndicate and they are forcing us to use their hammer mill in Mashava for gold processing. In fact, we are just doing work for the minister’s syndicate.”</blockquote>
Chadzamira who refused to comment on the reports that he is mining in the area after blocking President’s brothers said people are using his name for their own personal reasons. However, sources close to the developments said he appointed one Allen Sibanda, and Zanu PF Masvingo provincial youth chairperson Godfrey Huruva to monitor mining activities at the site.

Masvingo Minister Elbow ED's Brothers Out Of A Gold Rich Claim - Report

A mother and her 2-year-old daughter lost their lives after they attempted to cross a flooded Sebakwe River in Masvingo, The Sunday News reports.
19-year-old Ms. Margaret Rashamira from Chatsworth’s death was confirmed by Masvingo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa who said Rashamira and her husband Mr Joachim Zviripai and their baby were on their way to visit Zviripai’s father when tragedy struck.
Said Inspector Dhewa:
<blockquote>….when they got to the river, Ms Rashamira, who had the baby strapped the baby on her back, managed to walk about 10 metres into the river and was then swept away by the water.
However, her husband managed to swim to the banks of the river. Zviripai tried to help his wife and baby but failed. He then rushed back to the other villagers for assistance and they tried to locate Rashamira and the baby but to no avail.</blockquote>
He discouraged people from attempting to cross flooded rivers and said:
<blockquote>We are strongly encouraging people to avoid crossing flooded water bodies especially this rainy season.</blockquote>
Minister of State for Masvingo Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira also urged people to exercise caution during the festive season and urged motorists to exercise caution, especially on the Harare Masvingo highway:
<blockquote>It’s the rainy season, the rivers are flooding, it is important that we don’t cross flooded rivers. On the roads let’s travel safely as most of our roads are still under construction.</blockquote>

Sebakwe River Sweeps Away A Mother And A Daughter

ZANU PF Masvingo Province is preparing to seize a Mazda BT50 from Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu following his dismissal from the party two weeks ago.
Zivhu was given the vehicle during the 2018 primary elections and has since accepted his sacking by the politburo.
The ruling party’s provincial chairperson Ezra Chadzamira, who is also the Minister of State for Masvingo, confirmed that Zivhu will lose the car. He said:
<blockquote>We will repossess that vehicle from Zivhu very soon and that is what we will do to anyone who will divorce the party. The seizure will happen without any noise.</blockquote>
Chadzamira said the party has seized a twin cab from the widow of former Zaka East legislator Caston Gumbwanda who died last year. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>It is true that the party took back the vehicle left by the late Zaka East MP. The vehicle was supposed to be used by the legislator for the benefit of the party so if he is no longer there, there is nothing wrong in taking it back.</blockquote>

Killer Zivhu To Lose ZANU PF Mazda BT50

Sugar manufacturer Tongaat Hullets has revealed it will avail 2000 Hectares of land for this year’s winter maize food initiative.
Tongaat usually avails an average of 300ha for the winter maize project and they have decided to bump up the hectarage this year to help revive the country’s food security.
The Herald reports that the development was also confirmed by Msvingo’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Ezra_Chadzamira">Ezra Chadzamira</a> who said:

We are very encouraged by the response and quite a good number of farmers are willing to diversify their crop portfolio, while there is also a sweetener that these farmers will not do it for free, but will get inputs support under the Command Agriculture programme while there will also be a ready market for their produce.

Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Ezra_Chadzamira" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ezra Chadzamira</a> said the government will soon relax its 21-day lockdown restrictions to allow informal traders to sell farm produce at designated market places.
Chadzamira made the remarks while addressing reporters at Benjamin Burombo building in <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Masvingo" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Masvingo</a> on Friday. He said:
<blockquote>Those who sell perishables are the most hard-hit and we understand their pain.
We are looking at the feasibility of allowing a small number of women to sell each day.</blockquote>
This follows reports that police officers seized and destroyed hundreds of kilograms of fresh farm produce in Mutare on Friday morning saying the traders were violating lockdown restrictions.
Meanwhile, the lockdown has negatively impacted the livelihoods of informal traders as most of them live from hand to mouth.

Lockdown Restrictions To Be Relaxed For Informal Traders

War veterans in Masvingo province have slammed Provincial Affairs Minister, Ezra Chadzamira, for allegedly trying to withdraw offer letters given to them.
They claim that the provincial minister is acting contrary to a directive issued by the Lands Minister, Perrance Shiri. The veterans wrote a letter to Chadzamira relating to Cambria Farm, which reads in part:
<blockquote>The farm was identified suitable for game farming (conservancy) by the provincial lands committee chaired by the then provincial governor JD Hungwe and a resolution was endorsed by then Minister of Lands, the late John Nkomo in 2005 after an all stakeholders meeting with 110 participants.
The current minister of lands Cde Perence Shiri in June this year also wrote to all provinces instructing priority in the allocation of land to war veterans and that in the event of land disputes, under no circumstances should war veterans have his or her offer letter cancelled.
It is in this background that our members who were allocated land during the height of the land redistribution programme feel victimized by your office as there are multiple reports of war vets being victims under the ongoing land resettlement.
You are in contempt honourable minister of trying to withdraw offer letters given to war veterans and this is inconsistent with the government policy and a legal ruling.</blockquote>

War Veterans Chide Masvingo Provincial Minister

ZANU PF members in Masvingo have reportedly shunned wearing party regalia in public and even at party events. They are afraid of being ostracized by the members of the communities they come from.
According to a Newsday report, Masvingo provincial spokesperson Ronald Ndava quizzed party functionaries at an inter-district meeting held at Chitsanga Hall on why they did not wear party regalia.
Ndava was however shouted down by party members who told him that they could not even use public transport, Kombis, when clad in party regalia.
Chiredzi district war veterans chairperson, Killer Makuni said he would deal with kombis which shun ZANU PF members. Said Makuni:
<blockquote>How could you be ejected from a kombi by someone who is not Zanu PF? You are just cowards. Instead, you are the ones who are supposed to eject someone without party regalia from those kombis, not vice versa. I am so disappointed with you.</blockquote>
Masvingo Zanu PF provincial chairperson Ezra Chadzamira accused his comrades of sitting on the fence. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>I can’t believe what you are saying. Maybe you are now shy to wear our regalia. We know that there are some people who are now sitting on the fence. If you are that kind of a person, let me tell that the party has no room for you. We want people who know what they want.</blockquote>

ZANU PF Members Shy Away From Wearing Party Regalia, Fear Being Ostracized By The Public

ZANU PF heavyweight Ezra Chadzamira boasted publicly on Wednesday that his party is adept at rigging polls.
Chadzamira who is the Masvingo provincial affairs minister made the remarks during a party inter-district meeting held at Chitsanga Hall in Chiredzi. He added that rigging is practised even in developed countries such as the United States of America. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>Zimbabweans should know that there was nothing like democracy under the sun, but we have guided democracy. So if you think Zimbabwe will ever be democratic, keep on dreaming.
[Donald] Trump stole the election in America, but no one burnt or looted properties like what the opposition did in Zimbabwe. Elections are being stolen everywhere, even in the DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), so what’s so special about the Zimbabwean situation?
MDC Alliance is full of thugs and crooks who want to justify looting and property destruction hiding behind a finger, claiming Zanu PF stole an election. Go and tell them that Zanu PF will continue to rule because we are going to use every trick in the book to win forthcoming elections.</blockquote>
When contacted for comment, MDC spokesperson Jacob Mafume said that what the country needs right now is a dialogue that deals with the excesses of the security forces rather than provocative statements that would trigger hostilities.

ZANU PF Official Says His Party Rigs Elections And Zimbabwe Will Never Be Democratic

Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister Ezra Chadzamira said Government is still committed to building a total of 1,5 million middle-income housing units by 2023.
He said this at the belated United Nations World Habitat Day commemorations held at Nemamwa Growth Point last week.  The UN General Assembly in 1985 set aside the first Monday of October for the World Habitat Day Commemorations. This year the event ran under the theme: “Municipal Solid Waste”. Said Chadzamira:

The primary election was won by the incumbent legislator Berita Chikwama. In Chiredzi West, incumbent Member of Parliament Darlington Chiwa is refusing to recognise the victory of former Tongaat Hulett director Farai Musikavanhu. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>We will not hesitate to take disciplinary action against party members who continue to live in the past and show bitterness over a process that has since passed. Primary elections are over and some were not happy with what happened, but we are now approaching elections, we need to put Zanu-PF interests first. Those who resist to unite with others will be punished because genuine party members are disciplined.</blockquote>

Zanu-PF Threatens To Punish Members As Divisions Continue Over Primary Election Results

Bikita East legislator and Zanu-PF central committee member, Kennedy Matimba collapsed and died at Makurira Memorial Hospital in Masvingo on Tuesday night after complaining of malaria.
Speaking to NewsDay, Zanu-PF provincial chair, Ezra Chadzamira, yesterday confirmed Makurira’s death saying they had written to the party’s politburo to have him declared a provincial war hero. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>It is with a deep sense of loss that I confirm the bad news of the passing on of a colleague, a brother, a friend and fellow legislator and party member. He died at Makurira Memorial Hospital after suffering from malaria. We have since written to the Politburo to have him conferred with a provincial war hero status because of his contribution to the development of Zimbabwe in the pre and post-independence era.</blockquote>
He said burial arrangements will only be announced after the politburo’s ruling on his hero status.

Zanu-PF Central Committee Member Dies

Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman Ezra Chadzamira has warned party members against engaging in political violence, saying those caught on the wrong side of the law will be arrested irrespective of their position in the party. Chadzamira said the Zimbabwe Republic Police will not hesitate to arrest anyone regardless of their party affiliation.
Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>Our leader President Mnangagwa has been making clarion calls for peaceful elections. The President has strongly stated that there is no room for political violence here in Zimbabwe and has even highlighted that message at various international fora that the new Government condemns all forms of violence as the nation braces for elections. I am happy that President Mnangagwa’s message has been loud and clear that perpetrators of political violence will be dealt with without fear or favour, there will be no sacred cows. The police have already been given a task to decisively deal with political violence, we condemn political violence from whatever source and the message of non-violence does not apply to zanu-pf members alone, but also to members of the opposition, the law will be applied fairly.</blockquote>

"There Will Be No Sacred Cows": Zanu-PF Warns Members Against Violence

Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman Ezra Chadzamira yesterday confirmed that the province had written to Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Obert Mpofu, requesting national hero status for Zaka East National Assembly member Samson Tapera Mukanduri who was found dead on Monday morning after complaining of high blood pressure.
Mukanduri was also Zanu-PF’s provincial secretary for education. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>We have applied to the national party leadership for Cde Mukanduri to be declared a national hero because of the role he played during the liberation struggle and the work he did for the country after independence.</blockquote>

Zanu-PF Masvingo Wants Hero Status For Late Zaka East MP

Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairperson Ezra Chadzamira yesterday said that his province will send at least 650 delegates to the party’s Extraordinary Congress that will be held at Robert Mugabe Square in Harare next month. 
Chazdzamira said that Masvingo will send chairpersons from 426 Zanu-PF districts in Masvingo, 200 PCC members, 5 representatives for  war veterans, ex-detainees and ex-restrictees and 5 Students’ representatives. He also said that the province will hold an inter-provincial conference after accreditation of delegates. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>There will be one chairperson per each of the 426 Zanu-PF districts in Masvingo, who will be going to the Extraordinary Congress representing Masvingo. Joining the party chairmen are about 200 PCC members who include Politburo and Central Committee members from the province, National Constitutional Assembly members and provincial executive members.</blockquote>

Masvingo to send at least 650 delegates to Zanu-PF Congress

Suspended Zanu-PF Masvingo  provincial chairman Ezra Chadzamira was forced to surrender a party vehicle that he was reportedly holding on to following his suspension for allegedly inciting tribal hatred and spreading gossip and lies, among other charges. Masvingo’s acting provincial chairman Amasa Nhenjana had to rope in the police to recover the new party vehicle. 
Said Nhenjana:
<blockquote>We had to seek the assistance of the police to recover the vehicle from him as he was refusing to surrender it. We are also seeking to force him to surrender fuel that is in his possession for it is meant for party programmes. I do not think it’s a good thing for him to refuse with party property because one day he would want to come back into the fold, so we expected him to cooperate and abide by decisions taken by the party.</blockquote>
Central Committee member Walter Mzembi had vowed not to leave Masvingo until the party vehicle was returned.

Mnangagwa ally forced to surrender Zanu-PF vehicle, police roped in

Zanu-PF officials who were suspended by the party’s national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere have said that they remain in their leadership positions since they have not received official letters notifying them of their suspensions.
Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chair Ezra Chadzamira told Sunday Mail that he is reading about his suspension in the media and that he remains chairman until he has received official communication. Said Chadzamira:
<blockquote>I am reading about my suspension in the media. No one informed me, either verbally or through a letter. I am yet to receive any official communication, so I cannot say anything until a time there is official communication. I remain chairman until I am told otherwise. Right now, I am still in charge. I am seized with encouraging Zanu-PF members to register as voters ahead of next year’s elections. We want to make sure President Mugabe and Zanu-PF remain in office.</blockquote>
Zanu-PF Midlands Youth League secretary for administration Justice Mayor Wadyajena who was suspended for “inciting rebellious behaviour” among other charges, also claimed he had not received any official communication.
