Former Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach Benjani Mwaruwari has reportedly filed a claim of US$1.6 million against the club with FIFA for unfair dismissal.
This development follows FIFA’s order for the reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions to compensate their former assistant coach, Bongani Mafu, nearly US$200,000.
Mafu served as Benjani’s assistant at Ngezi when both were dismissed just months after joining the Mhondoro-based club.
Mafu was Benjani’s assistant at Ngezi when they were sacked a few months after they arrived at the club. <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/ngezi-faces-benjanis-us1-6m-mega-storm-it-could-be-the-biggest-such-payout-in-football-in-southern-africa-fifas-decision-for-mafu-to-be-paid-likely-to-act-as-a-precedent/">H-Metro</a> quoted a source as saying:

The real storm is the one that is set to come after the conclusion of Benjani’s claims and that is coming soon.
That is a huge figure we are talking about and it all comes to around US$1.6 million and if he gets everything that he has asked for then it could be the biggest payout in Southern Africa in such a football case.
You can say that a precedent was set when Mafu won his case and both Mafu and Benjani are using the same agent who appears to have very good knowledge of such cases.
It’s an interesting time for Zimbabwe football because I’m so sure that soon we will also hear the likes of Sunday (Chidzambwa), Norman (Mapeza) and Pasuwa also coming up with their claims against ZIFA over unpaid dues.

The agent is Ndaba Nyathi, who is based in Finland.
Another former Ngezi assistant coach, Cosmas Zulu, has also been reported to be filing a claim for unfair dismissal. Said Zulu:

Mafu tried his best to bring the club to the round table in an attempt to arrive at a compromise.
By the principle of pacta sunt servanda (agreements must be kept), but it was all in vain.

Meanwhile, Ngezi Platinum Stars were given until last week to appeal the FIFA ruling, or they would face a two-year transfer ban, effective until the second transfer window of 2026 if they fail to pay the full amount within 45 days.
FIFA documents sent to the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and Mafu’s representatives confirm that the decision was made on August 27, with notifications sent to all parties three days later.

Former Manchester City striker and Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari is working with English Championship side Plymouth Argyle’s juniors to improve his coaching skills.
The former Ngezi Platinum Stars coach is attached at Plymouth Argyle Academy as part of the Premier League player-to-coach initiative.
Mwaruwari recently <a href="https://x.com/PAFCAcademy/status/1770163333326332295">told the club’s media</a> that his love and passion for football drove him into coaching. He said:

I enrolled in the players to coaches scheme, which looks after former players interested in coaching.
So, I am here trying to improve my coaching skills. When you are playing sometimes you do not know what you are going to do after you stop.
But when you keep watching the game and you have that love and passion you want to be involved, so that is what happened to me.
It has been great I have been here for four months with people around the coaches and players it has been so good.
I have been working with the Under 18 strikers, and they have been performing so well, hopefully, I will give them something and they will give me something.
I have been with all age groups from the Under 13s helping out some coaches here.

The Undertaker completed his UEFA A coaching licence in 2021. He was in the same class with ex-professional footballers Christopher Samba and Mark Hughes.
Mwaruwari coached Portsmouth’s under-16s whilst he was doing the UEFA badges. He assisted Shaun North in coaching sessions on a twice-weekly basis to meet Uefa A licence criteria.
He was at Portsmouth FC for more than six weeks, enabling him to fulfil the requirements of 40 hours of practical work.
Mwaruwari was appointed Ngezi Platinum Stars’ head coach on a three-year deal in March 2022. He was, however,  fired on 25 July 2022 after presiding over 13 matches.

Benjani Mwaruwari Gets Coaching Job At English Club

Benjani Jnr, the son of former Manchester City and Zimbabwe international striker <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Benjani_Mwaruwari">Benjani Mwaruwari</a> has signed his first professional contract with English 5-tier side Yeovil Town.
The 17-year-old forward had an impressive season with Yeovil Town’s Under 18 side.
He joined the club last year after not being offered a scholarship by his dad’s former club Portsmouth, who are now plying their trade in the 3rd-tier League One.
Since his arrival at Yeovil Town, Benjani Jnr has become something of a goal machine which has resulted in him becoming the team’s third professional player in three years to come from within.
In a statement on their <a href="https://www.ytfc.net/contract-benjani-jr-signs-professional-terms-with-yeovil-town/">official website</a>, Yeovil Town said they are excited to agree on pro-terms with Benjani Jr after his impressive stint since his arrival at the National League side. The club said:

Warriors and Bournemouth FC defender <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Jordan_Zemura">Jordan Zemura</a> has made his English Premier League (EPL) debut after being included in Bournemouth’s squad for their opening league match of the 2022/23 season.
Zemura who was with the Warriors at the most recent Africa Cup of Nations was named in the first XI against <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Marvelous_Nakamba">Marvelous Nakamba</a>‘s Aston Villa. Nakamba was not part of Villa’s team, he was not even on the bench.

Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya has sympathised with three Castle Lager Premier Soccer League coaches who lost their jobs this week.
Benjani Mwaruwari was sacked by Ngezi Platinum Stars on Monday, Herbert Maruwa was fired by Black Rhinos on Wednesday and Tenax CS parted ways with Shadreck Mugurasave on Thursday. Said Ndiraya:

We always feel for each other when something like this happens.
… There is no one who gets excited when another coach is fired, we feel for the coaches who have lost their jobs.
We just wish them well and hopefully, they can quickly get back to it again.
I feel for my colleagues and wish they can get comfort in that wherever they were, they did the best that they could and hopefully, that was noticed and they can quickly get back to work.

In total, 14 head coaches and assistant coaches have been fired by their clubs this season alone.
Ndiraya believes that coaches do not get all the support they need from their clubs yet they are made scapegoats when good results become elusive. He said:

If you look at the environment that we are working in, naturally you would want to have time.
Time to build your team and at the same time you want maximum support from the management for you to succeed.
But in most cases, we don’t get full support in terms of the provision of resources to really do our job.
Sometimes coaches do cover up some things which are supposed to be done by the other part.
But in the end, we are judged by results and sometimes people don’t know how those results come about.
Sometimes it’s the coaches who sacrifice for those results so it hurts (when a coach is fired).

Ndiraya was himself on the brink of losing his job a few weeks ago following his week-long suspension.
A draw against log leaders FC Platinum a fortnight ago and a 3-0 win over second-placed Chicken Inn last week have given Ndiraya some respite.

Former Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Benjani Mwaruwari may get a US$440 000 severance package from his former paymasters following his sacking on Monday.
When Benjani was appointed Ngezi coach in March this year, reports indicated that he penned a four-year deal and was guaranteed a salary of about US$10 000 a month.
If it was true that “The Undertaker” indeed signed a four-year deal, and he was getting US$10 000 a month, it means he will be paid US$440 000.
In football, when a coach is fired, the club has to fully pay off the remainder of his or her contract, unless the coach failed to fulfil what was agreed to in the deal.
H-Metro reported sources as saying Benjani signed a “standard” deal, “which is like what is seen in the professional leagues of Europe.” Added the source:

This means he is entitled to payment for the remainder of his contract.
If he had signed a three-year deal, it means he will have to be paid a US$320 000 severance package.
In the event he entered into a two-year contract, it means he will be paid about US$200 000 in the golden handshake.

Benjani presided over 13 games, in which he registered three wins, six draws and four losses.

Ngezi Platinum Sack Coach Benjani Mwaruwari

Former Warriors skipper Benjani Mwaruwari has been cleared by the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) to head Ngezi Platinum Stars’ technical department following his appointment by the club this week.
Mwaruwari does not hold the requisite Confederation Of African Football (CAF) A coaching badge and since he has the UEFA A licence, he needed to get a waiver from the national association.
It’s the former Manchester City striker’s first big job for a local club in the country having briefly served as Warriors assistant coach under Croatian Zdravko Logarušić.
A source in the ZIFA secretariat Friday said the former Warriors captain has temporarily been cleared to coach in the top league while he prepares to acquire the CAF A licence, a course that has not been offered in the country for some time. The source said:

He was cleared yesterday (Thursday). He was given a provisional exemption which means he can coach in the PSL until such a time when we have Caf A courses.

ZIFA Clears Mwaruwari To Coach PSL

Ngezi Platinum Stars’ new coach Benjani Mwaruwari said that his arrival at the club will make it easier for players to get trials in Europe and for the club to secure friendly matches abroad.
Mwaruwari (43), played in South Africa, Switzerland, France and England over a career spanning 15 years.
The former Manchester City striker said he has already secured a pre-season friendly match with his former French side AJ Auxerre. He said:

If I see a good player here it would be easy for that player to go and get trials abroad. That is one of the advantages of my being here.

Mwaruwari Secures A Pre-season Friendly Match For Ngezi With AJ Auxerre

Newly-appointed Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach Benjani Mwaruwari doesn’t have a CAF A Coaching licence.
This means that he cannot sit on the coach’s bench during matches until the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), allows him to use his UEFA A Licence in the local league.
It has emerged that Madamburo appointed Benjani as their new head coach without first applying for the waiver from ZIFA.
Acting ZIFA chief executive, Xolisani Gwesela, on Tuesday told Chronicle that his office had not received any application from Ngezi Platinum Stars. He said:

I am not commenting on any recent developments in certain clubs but what I can tell you is that we have not yet received any application for a waiver on any coach who intends to work as a head coach for a Premiership team.
Look, our rules and regulations in terms of club licensing requirements state that only coaches with a CAF A licence can be head coach for a club playing in the Premier Soccer League.
Exceptions are only given under special circumstances that is after an application is made by the club intending to appoint individuals who do not have the requisite qualification.
There are special cases in the league which have been addressed but at the moment no team has come forward with any application pertaining to that issue.

Ngezi Platinum Stars face Bulawayo Chiefs at Luveve on Sunday and Benjani might miss the match if the issue is not dealt with in time for the game.

Ndebele asserted that the rules are clear no coach without a CAF A Licence can sit on the bench leading a premiership club. He said:

Former Manchester City striker, Benjani Mwaruwari, is set to be confirmed as the new Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach after reportedly signing a four-year deal with the ambitious Premier Soccer League club.
The deal will see the former Warriors captain replacing Rodwell Dhlakama who resigned last month after being accused of allegedly taking bribes from players.
Mwaruwari, who had short stints as Warriors assistant coaches to Zdravko Logarusic and Norman Mapeza, will be assisted by another former Warriors assistant Bongani Mafu who is currently in charge of Southern Region Soccer League log leaders Hwange.
Former Warriors midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha is coming in as team manager while Takesure Chiragwi who held the fort as interim coach following the suspension and subsequent departure of Dhlakama will be retained as one of the assistants to Mwaruwari. 
A source at the club confirmed that Madamburo have appointed The Undertaker. The source told Soccer24:

Mwaruwari who attained the UEFA A coaching badge last year was recently at his former French club AJ Auxerre for a week-long attachment.
Ngezi Platinum Stars are currently fifth on the log standings, four points behind log leaders Chicken Inn whom they face on Saturday at Baobab stadium.

The Benjani Youth League is expected to commence in early April and run for 32 weeks, with the league’s working committee currently working on building the teams and structures.
The chairman of the league’s organising committee, former Warriors and Dynamos defender Harlington Shereni told The Sunday News that they are finalising the league’s budget with sponsors and will make an announcement of the teams in the league and the sponsors in due course. Said Shereni:

We have been working on making sure that we are ready to kick off in early April. We have also been working on structuring the league as well as the clubs that will be participating in the league.

The Benjani Youth League will consist of 16 clubs with each club having Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 teams.
The City of Bulawayo granted an application by the league to use its recreational facilities across the city for football matches.

Nyaradzo Group has appointed former Warriors captain and Manchester City forward Benjani Mwaruwari as its Brand Ambassador.
Mwaruwari becomes the latest high-profile individual to be appointed Nyaradzo Brand Ambassador following the appointment of musicians Jah Prayzah and Sandra Ndebele, France-based Warriors striker Tinotenda Kadewere and comedian, Madam Boss to similar roles. Nyaradzo said in a statament:

Benjani Mwaruwari Appointed Nyaradzo Brand Ambassador

Warriors interim coach Norman Mapeza has retained the pair of Taurai Mangwiro and Mandla Mpofu as his assistants as well as goalkeepers’ coach Energy Murambadoro ahead of Zimbabwe’s Africa Cup of Nations finals campaign in Cameroon next month.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) secretariat, which is currently running affairs at ZIFA, has added former Warriors striker Benjani Mwaruwari to the technical bench.
This means that Mwaruwari will work alongside Mangwiro and Mpofu as Mapeza’s assistant coaches.
The ZIFA board was suspended by the Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC) on 16 November and since then, the ZIFA secretariat has been running the football association’s affairs.
On Saturday, the secretariat confirmed that Mapeza had retained his assistants for the Cameroon tour of duty. It said:

Norman Mapeza is coming back with the technical team he worked with during the World Cup qualifiers and Benjani Mwaruwari is coming in as the third assistant coach by virtue of him being the recommended Under-23 coach.
It is the norm that the Under-23 coach sits on the senior national team bench, the same way the Under-20 coach sits on the Under-23 bench.

Mwaruwari is already in the country and is expected to join his colleagues when the AFCON camp begins in Harare on 23 December.
Meanwhile, several players will not be considered for the AFCON finals, among them Tendayi Darikwa, as well as Marshall Munetsi and Brendan Galloway who are injured.

Mapeza Retains Assistant Coaches, Adds Benjani

Former Warriors assistant coach Benjani Mwaruwari is reportedly set to be drafted into the national team set-up again ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
Zimbabwe currently has no technical team to lead the Warriors after Norman Mapeza’s contract as interim coach expired at the end of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers last month.
Mwaruwari was appointed as an assistant coach to former Warriors gaffer Zdravko Logarusic in September in a bid to salvage Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
He however lost his job after two games when the ZIFA board fired the entire Warriors technical team including co-assistants Tonderai Ndiraya and Lloyd Chitembwe.
The Herald reported a source as saying Mwaruwari will be returning as one of the assistant coaches to whoever is offered the job to take the Warriors to Cameroon. Said the source:

The issue of the coach is yet to be finalised. Of course, engagements have been going on and hopefully, by the end of this week, we should know which direction things are taking.
But what is likely to be certain is that Benjani Mwaruwari will be returning as one of the assistant coaches.
In fact, the idea was to give Mapeza a contract after the World Cup qualifiers and then allow him to choose his assistants.
This time he was supposed to have three assistants, including Benjani because there was a general feeling that he did not have enough time to make his contributions.
So, whoever is coming as a coach, even if the plans to re-engage Mapeza fail, should include Benjani in the set-up.
His experience is needed and his influence is critical, especially when going to such a tournament as the AFCON finals.

Mwaruwari (43), a former Warriors captain sat on the Warriors bench for two matches against South Africa and Ethiopia before the upheaval. He was on the job for just 18 days.

Benjani Set To Be Reappointed Warriors Assistant Coach

Former Warriors captain, Benjani Mwaruwari on Friday spoke to The Sunday Mail about his 18-day long job as Warriors assistant coach.
The former Portsmouth and Manchester City striker was appointed on August 25 and 18 days later, he was dismissed together with uninspiring head coach Zdravko Logarusic.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has since appointed Norman Mapeza as the caretaker coach. Mwariwari said he has no hard feelings. He said:

(I have) no qualms whatsoever. In any case, what happened was normal in any normal football situation.
Norman (Mapeza) had to be given the prerogative to choose his own assistants. He is a local coach who knows the terrain very well, having also coached the squad before, so it was only fair to let him hunt with his trusted dogs.
 Mapeza knows the players as well, so he has to fight the battle with his trusted soldiers and he has to be given that opportunity.
It is normal in coaching for a head coach to have his own trusted lieutenants.
In any case, I am fully behind Mapeza. We all have to support him because this is all about Zimbabwe, not individuals.

When he was appointed into the national team set-up, Mwaruwari indicated that he wanted to use the term to learn as he had just attained a UEFA coaching badge.
That apprenticeship was, however, cut short, albeit in a rather embarrassing fashion.
But the former Manchester City striker who is now unattached maintains that Zimbabweans must rally behind Mapeza.
Before his Warriors appointment, he did some apprenticeship at his former club Portsmouth, who are now playing in English League One.
He remains open to another stint with the Warriors should it arise.
Mapeza came in with his own assistants — Mandla Mpofu of Highlanders and Triangle’s Taurai Mangwiro while former CAPS United and Zimbabwe goalkeeper Energy Murambadoro came in as the goalkeepers’ trainer.
He was given a three-month contract which runs out on December 31.

Benjani Mwaruwari Speaks On His 18-Day Job As Warriors Assistant Coach

Newly appointed Warriors’ assistant coach Benjani “The Undertaker” Mwaruwari has joined his colleagues in camp ahead of Friday’s FIFA 2020 World Cup qualifier against South Africa.
Mwaruwari was a shock addition to the national team technical staff by ZIFA last week, becoming the third assistant coach with Lloyd Chitembwe and Tonderayi Ndiraya.
The former Manchester City striker’s arrival was confirmed by ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela, who said, “He is already in camp with his colleagues. He arrived yesterday.”
Meanwhile, the Warriors will be without UK-based players for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia.
The British government placed Zimbabwe on its COVID-19 red list, meaning they’ll be without six players plying their trade in the United Kingdom.
The players would have been quarantined for 10 days on their return after the international assignments.
As a result, English Premier League and English Football League clubs refused to release Zimbabwean players for the matches.
The players affected by the move include Marvelous Nakamba, Tendayi Darikwa, Macauley Bonne, Jordan Zemura and Brendon Galloway.

Benjani Mwaruwari Joins Warriors Camp

Former Warriors striker Benjani Mwaruwari has been appointed national team assistant coach with immediate effect, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) confirmed on Wednesday.
Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic has been working with Dynamos’ Tonderai Ndiraya and Harare City’s Lloyd Chitembwe as his assistants, and Mwaruwari has now been roped in as the third assistant.
ZIFA has been under pressure from football stakeholders to sack the Croat due to his poor record with the Warriors, having won a single match in nearly a dozen matches, but the Felton Kamambo-led administration instead decided to bolster the technical team by appointing Mwaruwari.
The 43-year old, who recently got his UEFA A coaching license, is expected to start work when the Warriors start preparations for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Ethiopia.
Speaking <a href="https://ztn.co.zw/stream/2021/08/benjani-ready-for-warriors-job/">during ZTN’s weekly football show, The Couch, on Tuesday last week,</a> Mwaruwari made it clear that he will take the Warriors job if given the opportunity.

Warriors newcomer and Bournemouth star Jordan Zemura has revealed how fellow countryman Benjani Mwaruwari influenced him in his football career.
Speaking during an interview with The Standard, Zemura, who was born in England to Zimbabwean parents, spoke in adoration of the former Warriors captain. He said:

Zemura Reveals Zim Footballer Who Influenced Him Most

Former Zimbabwe Warriors skipper Benjani Mwaruwari has said he got the name Benjani by mistake after officers at the registry offices failed to capture his original name correctly.
In an interview with South African sportscaster Robert Marawa on his radio programme Legends Night at the weekend, the former Manchester City striker said:
<blockquote>My real name is Mpenjani. But you know my father (Amon) is from Malawi, so the pronunciation is not that great. So when he went to get my birth certificate they thought he said Benjani. And so on my birth certificate, it’s written Benjani.
When I was playing in Zimbabwe, the person who was writing the team card did not look properly on my particulars and he wrote Benjamin, instead of Benjani.
So that is where the name Benjamin came from. In Zimbabwe, everyone knew me as Benjamin and in South Africa as well.</blockquote>
He added that in Europe, he was simply known as Benjani after clubs found it difficult for them to pronounce his surname.
The Undertaker, as Benjani id affectionately known, said those who know him from Magwegwe, where he grew up, call him Mpe for Mpenjani which means “what do you want”.

Former Warriors captain Benjani Mwaruwari has, through his Benjani Mwaruwari Foundation and associates, donated foodstuffs to 900 families in Old Magwegwe and gave 30 hampers to Highlanders and Entembeni Old People’s Home.
The donation was worth $540 000 and recipients received a 10kg bag of maize meal, 750ml of cooking oil and a 500-gramme packet of sugar beans each to cushion them from the effects of the lockdown.
A social football club from Marisha in Old Magwegwe, Zulu Chiefs, which Mwaruwari plays for whenever he is in the country, also received foodstuffs.
Speaking on behalf of the Old Magwegwe residents, Cleopas Phiri thanked Benjani for the donation which he said came at a time when prices of basic good are rising astronomically. He said:
<blockquote>Benjy has always been helping the needy in our community and we really appreciate the efforts he continues to make by remembering us. We really appreciate his gesture.
You know with prices of mealie-meal skyrocketing and selling at R100 for a 10kg bag on the black market, this donation has really come at the right time to cushion us.</blockquote>
Highlanders chairman Kenneth Mhlophe also expressed gratitude to Mwaruwari for cushioning the club’s players and staff.

Former Man City player Benjani Mwaruwari has donated foodstuffs to Highlanders players, the Old Magwegwe Community and the Zulu Chiefs Social Soccer Club to help the beneficiaries get through the COVID-19 induced hardships, Sunday News reports.
Mwaruwari’s donations were given to 900 families and the hampers consisted of 10kg bag of maize meal, 750ml of cooking oil and a 500-gramme packet of sugar beans.
Handing over the donations at Marisha Ground in Old Mangwegwe, Mwaruwari’s brother Chris said:
<blockquote>We know the difficult situation that players are facing in this current period when the game is on hold and we are aware Highlanders recently lost a sponsor and those mainly affected are the players, so we felt compelled to give them something. Zulu Chiefs is Benjani’s former social soccer club and the hampers were given to players and supporter.</blockquote>

Benjani Mwaruwari Donates To iBosso Players

Former Warriors striker <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Benjani_Mwaruwari" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Benjani Mwaruwari’s</a> son, Benjani Junior, said he is aiming to scale greater heights in football.
Mwaruwari, now 14, is already on the books of English club Portsmouth FC, a club his father once played for. Said the youngster:
<blockquote>My father has played a pivotal role in my soccer career. He dedicates his spare time to teach me how to use my left foot since I use my right, what to do with a soccer ball on the first touch, and how to time my speed when I’m having a ball and how to effectively use my head to score. That has worked in my favour because I won accolades for being the best striker at my school.</blockquote>
Benjani Senior started his football career at Young Blood, then joined <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Highlanders_Football_Club" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Highlanders Football Club</a> juniors before moving to Lulu Rovers Football Club and eventually Air Zimbabwe Jets.
He went on to play for several clubs outside Zimbabwe including Jomo Cosmos in South Africa, AJ Auxerre of France, and Manchester City of England.
He played alongside football greats such as Nwanku Kanu, Robinho, Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, Sol Campbell, Djibril Cisse and Kalilou Fadiga.

Benjani's Son Using Father As An Inspiration

Benjani Mwaruwari came from the bench in the second half to score the equaliser for Manchester City Legends in Vincent Kompany’s testimonial on Wednesday. The match ended 2-2.
The match was played at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium with former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany unable to play due to an injury.
The Manchester City Legends included the likes of Sergio Aguero and David Silva while Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick, Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie were among the Premier League legends.
Manchester City Manager, Pep Guardiola, introduced Benjani in the 71st minute. The Citizen fans reportedly chanted, “Benjani oooooooh! He comes from Zimbabwe. And scored on derby day!”
Benjani rose in the final minute to send a towering header past Shay Given to earn a draw for The Citizens.
Manchester City legends had scored first through Martin Petrov who beat Edwin Van der Sar in goal. The Premier League legends hit back through Robbie Kean to make it 1-1.
Robin Van Persie made it 2-1 for the Premier League legends before Benjani’s intervention in the 89th minute.
