Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, son of the late former president Robert Mugabe, has had a warrant issued for his arrest after failing to appear in court in Beitbridge on Monday.
Chatunga was arrested and later released on August 31 at a Bubi Security roadblock following a confrontation with a police officer regarding his vehicle registration documents and passport.
At the time, he was accompanied by his South African friend who was driving the vehicle when the incident happened.
In a statement released on Monday, September 16, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said that Chatunga is facing two charges: disorderly conduct and possession of prohibited knives. Reads the statement:

Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe who was supposed to appear before the Beitbridge Magistrates’ Court today was issued with a warrant of arrest after he defaulted court.
The accused person is facing two counts as follows:
Count 1: Disorderly conduct
Allegations are that on the 31st of August 2024, the accused person’s vehicle which was being driven by a South African national was stopped at Bubi Security Roadblock in Beitbridge.
The driver was asked to produce his passport and vehicle registration documents. Before the driver could comply, the accused person handed his passport to the Police Officer.
The Police Officer ordered the driver to park the vehicle on the side of the road. It is alleged that the accused person complained after the Police Officer requested that the driver park the motor vehicle further off the road.
He allegedly disembarked from the vehicle and charged towards the Police Officer shouting, “what are you doing, you are delaying me for the fourth time. I am rushing to a wedding in Harare check my passport, don’t you know who I am.”
Count 2: Possession of prohibited knives
During the scuffle, a small brown knife allegedly fell from the accused person’s black hooded fleece jacket. The Police recovered the knife leading to the accused person’s arrest.

Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, son of the late former president Robert Mugabe, did not go to court on Monday and now there is a warrant for his arrest. He got into trouble with the police on August 31 because he didn't have the right documents for his car and passport. Chatunga is also accused of being disorderly and having illegal knives. The National Prosecuting Authority is now looking for him to answer these charges.

Warrant Issued For Chatunga Mugabe's Arrest

Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe, the son of the late former President Robert Mugabe, was arrested on Saturday after a confrontation with police officers at a security checkpoint in Bubi on the Masvingo-Beitbridge road.
Chatunga, 27, was travelling in a South African-registered Range Rover with a friend, heading to Harare for a wedding.
During the incident, he allegedly manhandled a police officer, accusing him of causing unnecessary delays.
Chief Superintendent Melusi Ncube, the Officer Commanding Beitbridge District, confirmed the incident, which occurred around 6 AM.
Mugabe was charged with disorderly conduct and illegal possession of a specified knife
Mugabe, who is being represented by Muchiwande Sithole of F Chauke and Associates, briefly appeared before Beitbridge resident magistrate, Takudzwa Gwazemba who did not ask him to plead to the charges.
He was remanded out of custody to 16 September for a provisional trial date.
Sithole told the court that his client had been assaulted by a police officer and was still experiencing back pain.
District public prosecutor Tinayeishe Matenga told the court that Chatunga arrived at a security roadblock in Bubi in a black Range Rover driven by his South African friend, Irvin Molokoza.
The vehicle was signalled to stop, and Molokoza was asked to produce his passport. However, Chatunga allegedly presented his own passport before Molokoza could comply.
Matenga said Molokoza was instructed to park by the roadside for security checks. He partially parked on the road and was then told to move further away from the main road.
At this point, Chatunga reportedly exited the vehicle and began shouting at the police officer, accusing him of causing delays for the fourth time, indicating he was rushing to a wedding in Harare.
It is alleged that Chatunga then manhandled the police officer. He was subdued by other officers, who, upon arresting him, found a flick knife in his possession

Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, the son of the late former President Robert Mugabe, has been arrested in Beitbridge.
According to <a href="https://www.newsday.co.zw/local-news/article/200031686/chatunga-mugabe-arrested-in-beitbridge">NewsDay</a>, Chatunga was taken into custody for violent conduct after allegedly assaulting a policeman at a roadblock in Bubi, located 80 kilometres north of the border town. It is alleged that he brandished a knife during the altercation, leading to charges of resisting arrest.
Chief Superintendent Mesuli Ncube, the officer commanding the Beitbridge Police District, confirmed the arrest to NewsDay, though he stated he did not have further details.
Chatunga reportedly arrived at the Bubi roadblock at 6 AM, driven by a Chinese driver, and became impatient when police requested the vehicle’s documents and identification. Said a NewsDay source:

He started shouting at the police saying you are delaying us, do you know who I am? He then angrily and violently grabbed a Support Unit officer by the collar and tore off his shirt buttons in the process.

At that moment he is alleged to have produced a specified Okapi but was subdued and arrested by police who took him to Beitbridge Rural Police Station for further management.

Chatunga Mugabe, son of the former President of Zimbabwe, was arrested for attacking a police officer at a roadblock. He allegedly got angry when asked for his car's documents, grabbed an officer, and tore his shirt. Chatunga even had a knife. The police arrested him and took him to the station. Chatunga Mugabe Arrested For Assaulting A Policeman

An investigation by South African unit Amabhungane has uncovered potential money laundering involving the late President Robert Mugabe’s son, Bellarmine Chatunga, just before Mugabe’s ousting in a coup. The investigation revealed a series of illegal Hawala payments made to Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe through an unnamed individual connected to Ewan Macmillan of the Gold Mafia exposé.
Hawala payments are illegal methods used to settle bills across borders to evade regulations and surveillance, <a href="https://www.newzimbabwe.com/south-african-investigation-reveals-mugabes-son-chatunga-received-r10-million-on-eve-of-2017-coup/">NewZimbabwe.com</a> reported. This method was previously exposed in the Gold Mafia investigation, in which Macmillan played a significant role, as reported by Al Jazeera’s Investigative Unit. Read the report:

Other tantalising entries in the Caydees books include a “BC Mugabe”, reflecting the initials of Robert Mugabe’s youngest son Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe.
Thirteen payments totalling just shy of R10-million were made to this individual during the tumultuous lead-up to the ouster of the elder Mugabe from power in November 2017.
At the time there were outraged news reports of Bellarmine’s extravagant lifestyle in Johannesburg.

Amabhungane is expected to release a more detailed report on how the Mugabes shipped hard currency to South Africa. Mugabe’s other children, Bona and Robert Jr, have also faced legal issues. Bona was revealed to have acquired extensive land holdings, including farms, during a contentious divorce. Robert Jr has been involved in violent incidents, allegedly overlooked due to his association with the ruling party ZANU PF.
It is alleged that in November 2017 when Robert Mugabe was removed from power by the military and his former allies, including current President Emmerson Mnangagwa, two transactions worth R1 million were processed. Before that, in October, there were five batches of R1 million transactions and two batches of R500,000 transactions. The first R500,000 transaction took place in September.

Investigation In South Africa Indicates Chatunga Mugabe Received R10 Million On Coup Eve

Late former President Robert Mugabe’s son, Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe has been issued with an arrest warrant after skipping court over malicious damage to property and an assault cases.
Chatunga (25) allegedly confronted Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe’s driver and smashed the car’s window panel before assaulting him, reported <a href="https://www.zimlive.com/warrant-of-arrest-for-chatunga-after-kazembe-car-smashed/">ZimLive</a>.
He was arrested with an accomplice, Tatenda Chinyuku for the violent act against one Lazarus Pairemanzi.
Pairemanzi is employed by Learbridge Technology Pvt Ltd, a company owned by the ZANU PF Mashonaland West chairman.
According to court documents, Mugabe was in the company of Chinyuku last week when the duo encountered Pairemanzi and began accusing him of driving improperly. Reads court papers:

On the 11th day of April 2023 and along Samora Machel towards 7th street and at around 1830hrs, the complainant was driving his motor vehicle and the accused persons approached the complainant with an unmarked Mercedes Benz and blocked him.
The accused persons then disembarked from their vehicle and went to the complainant accusing him of driving in a bad manner.
The complainant closed his window and the accused persons then damaged the right window panel of the complainant’s vehicle.
After the accused persons damaged the complainant’s window panel as alleged in count one, the accused persons further went on to assault the complainant with clenched fists and open hands on the face and head several times. The accused acted unlawfully.

Mugabe and Chinyuku appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi on Friday facing two counts of malicious damage to property and assault.
They were remanded out of custody and were supposed to appear before the court again on Sunday for the withdrawal of their case. However, only Chinyuku attended.
The magistrate ordered Chinyuku to appear back in court on May 30 for routine remand before issuing a warrant of arrest against Mugabe.

Arrest Warrant Issued For Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe

The High Court Thursday ruled in favour of the late former President Robert Mugabe’s children who are challenging the exhumation of their father’s remains for re-burial at the National Heroes Acre.
Bona Mutsahuni, Tinotenda and Bellarmine were challenging the exhumation of Mugabe’s remains and confiscation of their livestock as ordered by Chief Zvimba, Stanley Mhondoro.
In the judgment, Justices Amy Tsanga and Fatima Maxwell ruled against Chinhoyi magistrate Ruth Moyo who had ruled that Mugabe’s children had no right to appeal against a judgment handed by the traditional court against their mother, Grace. 
Order Of Events In The Case:

a). In May 2021, Chief Zvimba ordered the exhumation of Mugabe from his rural home. The court also fined Grace for breaking burial rites and defaulting.
b). A messenger of court was granted authority to seize five heifers and a goat, which the Zvimba chief said was for cleansing of the country.
c). Bona who was duly appointed executor to the estate of her father, and her siblings appealed against the judgment at the magistrates’ court.
d). The appeal was challenged by Tinos Manongovere, a villager who initiated the matter. The magistrates upheld Manongovere’s challenge.
e). Bona and her siblings then appealed against the ruling at the High Court which ruled in their favour.

Ruled the High Court judges:
<blockquote>
In the context of customary law, the court finds no absurdity in allowing any person aggrieved by a decision of a community court to appeal against it, even though the aggrieved person was not a party in proceedings before the community court.
The court below erred in restricting the right of appeal to persons who were parties in proceedings before the community court. On the basis of the above, the first and second grounds of appeal succeed.
The appeal be and is hereby allowed with costs. The judgment of the court a quo is set aside and is substituted as follows, the first preliminary point be and is hereby dismissed and costs be in the cause.

The judges also referred the matter back to Chinhoyi Magistrates Court for the continuation of the hearing.
Mugabe died aged 95 in September 2019 and was buried at Kutamba after his family refused to have him interred at the National Heroes Acres.

Exhumation And Reburial Of Mugabe: Bona, Tinotenda, Bellarmine Win Case

The children of Zimbabwe’s late founding leader, Robert Gabriel Mugabe, have maintained that the traditional leaders who ordered the exhumation of their father’s remains for reburial have no legal right to do so.
This emerged during the hearing of a matter in which Mugabe’s children are challenging their village head over their father’s reburial.
The village head Tinos Manongovere, filed a complaint before Chief Zvimba last year that Mugabe was “improperly” buried in a courtyard.
Chief Zvimba sanctioned the exhumation of the late veteran leader and reburial at the National Heroes Acre in Harare and also fined Grace, Mugabe’s widow for contempt of court and incorrectly burying her husband.
The matter was referred to the Magistrate Court where Chinhoyi magistrate Ruth Moyo allowed the exhumation to be conducted saying Mugabe’s children had no locus standi (right) to appeal against their father’s reburial.
The children – Bona Mugabe-Chikore and her siblings, Bellarmine Chatunga and Robert Junior – appealed the ruling against the magistrate and also challenged the chief’s decision at the traditional court.
In the latest development, High court judge, Justice Ammy Tsanga reserved her judgment in the case.
The judge also reserved her judgement in the submissions by Manongovere’s lawyer that their appeal is fatally defective because it does not comply with the rules of the magistrate’s court.
Mugabe’s children, on Thursday, argued that no one except them has the authority over their father’s grave, warning that anyone who would tamper with it will be committing a criminal offence as outlined in the Burial Act. Their lawyer Zhuwarara argued:

Section 26 of the Burial Act says it is criminal to interfere with a grave, so it is important that Moyo deals with this matter because her court has jurisdiction. She has to rehear the matter and determine if the respondent was entitled to order the exhumation of Mugabe.
</blockquote>
According to the said section, anyone who wilfully destroys or causes to be done any damage, defacement or disfigurement to any monument, vault, tombstone or grave whether within or without a cemetery shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding level five or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or both.
However, Pardon Nhokwara representing Manongovere argued that Grace should have appealed against the decision and not her children.
Grace last year also filed a High Court application challenging the reburial of her husband insisting that her children have authority to appeal against their father’s reburial.
Mugabe died in Singapore on September 6, 2019, while receiving medical treatment at a private hospital. He was buried in a family courtyard at Kutama in Zvimba, his rural home.
This was after several attempts by senior government officials to have him interred at the National Heroes Acre where other late nationalists are buried.

Mugabe Exhumation And Reburial: Children Maintain The Order Was Illegal

Former first lady, Grace Ntombizodwa Mugabe nee Marufu has spoken on Chief Zvimba’s order that directed her to initiate the exhumation and reburial of the remains of the late former president Robert Mugabe.
Through her lawyers from Chimwamurombe Legal Practice, Grace expressed concern over the manner in which the case was handled. Among many issues her court papers cited, Grace noted:
<ul>
<li>the summonses were not even served in the required manner by the rules of the court.</li>
<li>The judgment has several penalties or orders which expect compliance by July 1, 2021. Having had sight of the referenced judgment, we have identified critical procedural and substantive law defects that must be corrected by this court to attain real and substantial justice in the judicial process and additionally rein in the community court presiding officer from overstretching their lawful operation as a judicial officer</li>
<li>There is no information that has been provided to show the substantial legal interest that fits with the plaintiff (Tinos Manongovere), thereby, prompting him to approach the court vis-à-vis the aforementioned choice of law process.</li>
<li>The summons issued on April 29 by the chief already carried a sentence of five cattle and one goat. This was made before the attendance and later on conviction of Grace Mugabe. The ultimate hearing was, therefore, manifestly biased since the sentence was already predetermined.</li>
<li>Chief Zvimba failed to observe one of the cardinal principles of natural justice by making an order directing the disposal of property that belonged to the estate of the late Mugabe in the absence of the lawful custodian of such property.</li>

Mugabe’s nephew Patrick Zhuwao recently sensationally claimed on South African broadcaster, SABC that President Emmerson Mnangagwa was behind the exhumation and reburial of the veteran leader to recover a mystical sceptre that would give him commanding authority as a leader.

Bona, Bellarmine and Robert Mugabe junior, all children of the late former president of Zimbabwe, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Gabriel Mugabe</a>, have made an appeal against Chief Zvimba’s ruling that ordered the exhumation and reburial of the veteran leader’s remains.
The traditional leader had ordered the exhumation and reburial of Zimbabwe’s founding leader saying the family had violated the Zvimba people’s custom by burying Mugabe “in the house”.
He ordered a reburial at the National Heroes Acre in Harare, a ruling which some said was influenced by the government as it had initially opposed a burial in Kutama.

NOTICE OF APPEAL
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Appellants hereby note an appeal against the whole Judgment of Chief Zvimba (Stanley Wurayayi Mhondoro) being the presiding officer of the Community Court held by him in Zvimba in the matter of Tinos Manongovere versus Grace Mugabe. The judgment was handed down on the 20th of May 2021.
ALSO TAKE NOTICE THAT the Court ruling is hereby attached hereto as “A” FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT the Appellants are competent litigants to institute this Appeal based on their real and direct interest in the orders of Chief Zvimba which killed their personal property and fiduciary functions at law respectively since the 1st Appellant is the duly appointed executrix to the Estate of the Late, and the 2nd and 3rd Appellants are sons to the said Late.
FURTHER TAKE NOTICE THAT this Appeal is instituted in terms of section 24 (1) of the Customary Law and Local Courts Act [chapter 7:05] as read with rule 4 of the Supreme Court (Miscellaneous Appeals and References) Rules, 1975.
GROUNDS OF APPEAL
1. Chief Zvimba erred at law by making an order that overturns a burial order in respect of the burial of the late Robert Mugabe when the Chief had no judicial authority to interpret legal acts from superior legislation to his jurisdiction.
2. Chief Zvimba erred at law in making an order that affects property rights of a party that is not part of the proceedings.
3. The Chief made a false finding of fact which amounts to an error at law when he found that the late Robert Mugabe was buried inside a house. This misdirection nullifies the ratio decidendi of his judgment.
4. Chief Zvimba erred at law in granting an incompetent order for the exhumation of the body of the Late Robert Gabriel Mugabe, thereby usurping the lawful bounds of his judicial authority.
5. The Chief further erred at law by imposing himself with territorial jurisdiction to the affairs of an area that he does not have any territorial jurisdiction over.
Wherefore the Appellant prays that:
i. The instant appeal be allowed with costs.
ii. The judgment of the court a quo be set aside and the following be substituted in its stead:
“The Plaintiff’s claim is dismissed”

Mugabe Exhumation, Reburial: Bona, Chatunga, Robert Appeal Order

<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Chatunga_Mugabe">Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe</a>, the youngest son of the late former President of Zimbabwe, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Mugabe</a> has engaged in a no holds barred verbal war with his alleged ex-girlfriend only identified as Mimi Chirasa whom he has labelled a very cheap commercial s_ex worker.
The cause of the fallout is not known but came to light when Zimcelebs posted on Instagram suggesting that Mimie was Chatunga’s ex-girlfriend to which he asked: “how is she my ex?”
<a href="https://www.zimetro.co.zw/chatunga-and-ex-lover-undress-each-other-on-social-media/">Zimetro</a> reports that the social media users became interested in the matter asking Chatunga to explain what he meant. They asked to know if they were still together, if not, he had to reveal his latest girlfriend.
The no holds barred tiff took an unprecedented turn after Chirasa attacked Chatunga alleging that his manhood is very small.
Chatunga, however, laughed off Charasa’s claims. In his response, Chatunga alleged that Charasa was a bitter golddigger who was “out of his league”, “very cheap” and had slept with several men. He said:

</blockquote>
Some of the insults are unprintable, but Chirasa responded saying Chatunga needs to wear condoms when sleeping around alleging that he had slept with sick people.

"You're Very Cheap," Robert Mugabe's Son In No Holds Barred Verbal War With Alleged Ex-Girlfriend

Mr Terrence Hussein of Hussein Ranchod &amp; Company the lawyer of the family of the late former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe has written to the Master of High Court Mr Eldard Mutasa asking him to register the death of Mugabe adding that no will had been found. Part of the letter reads:
<blockquote>Thus far, we have not been able to locate a will but have sent out inquiries to other law firms, although the family members are not aware of any.
In this regard, perhaps the estate may be treated as intestate for now.</blockquote>
Meanwhile, Mrs Bona Nyepudzai Mutsahuni-Chikore, the daughter of Mugabe, notified the Master’s Office on October 21 and disclosed that her late father had the following immovable and movable properties:

<li>House Number 129 Forbes Road, Waterfalls</li>
<li>Villa Number 65 Gunhill</li>
<li>Number 27 Quorn Avenue Mt Pleasant</li>
<li>Lot GB Helensvale and Lot 1 of subdivision B of Sub G of Helensvale</li>
<li>Highfield Farm</li>
<li>Zvimba rural farming plot (about 5 acres)</li>
<li>Zvimba rural home (one hectare)</li>
<li>Zvimba orchard (about five acres)</li>
<li>10 cars</li>
</ul>
Mugabe’s widow, Grace, was listed as the sole surviving spouse while Bona, Robert, Bellarmine and Russel Goreraza were listed as Cde Mugabe’s surviving children.
Legal experts said that information in the inventory can be edited adding that intentionally leaving out some assets was fraud punishable under law.

"Leaving Out Properties Intentionally Is Fraud," As Mugabe Family "Fails" To Locate His Will, See His Estate

Adonia Makombe, Nyika Chifamba and Sahungwe Hungwe were forced to abandon their Teviotdale Farm in Harare two weeks ago after the former first lady, Grace Mugabe, together and her sons set bouncers on them.
The who had repossessed the farm after being granted permission by the High Court to do so told the Daily News that they decided to occupy the farm as Grace continued playing delaying tactics by continuously indicating that she would appeal against the High Court judgment that went in their favour. Hungwe added:
<blockquote>We also wanted to make sure that she doesn’t start farming on our land and then use that as a basis for her continued stay.
When she came in the company of her bouncers, she claimed that the farm belonged to her son Chatunga … and because of the aggression of the bouncers, we decided to leave and made a report at Borrowdale Police Station.</blockquote>
Grace had grabbed the land from them when her political career reached its climax but the government recently invited individuals whose lands had been taken to apply for repossession.

Chaos At Harare Farm As Grace Mugabe Sets Thugs On Land Claimants

An unidentified woman has claimed that the late former president of Zimbabwe, Rober Mugabe had no children. The woman further claims that the three children, Bona, Robert Jnr and Chatunga were fathered by Peter Pamire, a prominent Zimbabwean entrepreneur who died in a tragic car accident.
Her remarks are consistent <a href="https://www.pazimbabwe.com/zimbabwe-44930-exclusive-leaked-files-from-zimbabwe-secret-c-i-o-on-grace-mugabe.html">with a purportedly leaked CIO document</a> which also claims that in 1994 and 1995 Grace had two abortion which she claimed were a miscarriage but they were the kids of Peter Pamire”s.
According to the Daily News, Grace Mugabe nee Marufu who was working as secretary to then-president Mugabe, became his mistress and, <a href="https://www.dailynews.co.zw/articles/2019/10/06/will-robert-mugabe-s-legacy-protect-grace">while still married to Stanley Goreraza (air force pilot Stanley Goreraza), had two children with him</a>, Bona born in 1988, named after Mugabe’s mother, and Robert Peter Jr.

Grace Mugabe, the widow of the late former founding father of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe reportedly performed strange rituals on the body of her departed husband before, during and after burial.
Close family members told the Daily News this week that Mugabe’s sickness, death and burial were highly associated with superstition. One displeased family member who spoke to the Daily News said:
<blockquote>There was no body viewing on the day of burial. No one knows if Mugabe still had a nose, two eyes, two hands or two legs because Grace didn’t allow the viewing of his body.
Before the burial, she ordered out relatives and friends from where the body was, and remained in the room with her children for a considerable period of time.
No one knows what she was doing with the children and the remains of the former president. Our suspicion is that she was carrying out some rituals.</blockquote>
Leo Mugabe, the spokesperson of the Mugabe family said that the Mugabe family was not superstitious, but, Grace had brought superstition with her from Singapore.
He said she even claimed that Mugabe had ordered her not to allow his remains to leave her sight.

The late former President Robert Mugabe’s younger son, Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, said that though his father lived up to the age of 95 years, to him it was not enough as they were together for only 22 years. In an interview with ZBC News at the Mugabe family’s Borrowdale home, Chatunga said:

Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe, the youngest son of Zimbabwe’s late founding leader, Robert Mugabe has that he owes his life to his late father. Chatunga said that although his father was old, to him it was too soon because he is still young and has not yet achieved anything to make him proud. He added that the former ZANU PF leader however prepared him for life after his departure.

Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe, son to former President Robert Mugabe, said that he is not the bad guy as some people want to make him appear to be.
Chatunga was recently implicated in a bar brawl with an upcoming female musician. He is accused of having sent assailants to assault Shashl last weekend.
In an interview with Harare tabloid, H-Metro, Chatunga claimed that people are framing him. He said:

Chatunga Mugabe Rejects Reports That He Assaulted Female Musician

Former President Robert Mugabe’s son, Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe has chided Zimbabweans for celebrating the ouster of his father in a military coup in November 2017.
Chatunga said that his father was replaced by “bouncers” or thugs. Writing on microblogging site Twitter, he said:
<blockquote>I laughed when my fellow brothers and sisters celebrated the removal of President RG my Dad and replaced him with his bouncers taizviziva kwazvichasvika here we go.</blockquote>
The word bouncer insinuates that President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputies are thugs who use violence to dealt with issues. Chatunga’s comments come after security forces dealt ruthlessly with protests against austerity measures being driven by Mnangagwa’s administration.

Father Is A Great Pan Africanist, Patriot: Chatunga Scoffs At Claims That Mugabe Called For Sanctions

Former President Robert Mugabe’s son, Robert Mugabe Jr, has launched his own clothing label. The label is called xGx, which seems like a play on Mugabe’s totem, Gushungo, which the Mugabe boys stylize as “Gxshxngo.” The apparel is a bit on the steep side with Men’s T-shirts going for $300 while ladies’ tops go for $250. On his Instagram account, Robert Jr says he is taking personal orders. Robert Jr together with his younger brother Chatunga Bellarmine has also launched an entertainment account called Triple, which was organising Tekno’s first show in Zimbabwe. The Nigerian artist was unable to make the show.

Former President Robert Mugabe’s daughter, Bona Mugabe is reported to have left Zimbabwe last week for Malaysia. Bona who is reported to be expecting her second child with husband Simbarashe Chikore left the country with her husband and first child, Simbanashe. The couple’s first child Simbanashe was born in Singapore, a point which critics used to attack Mugabe with, saying that he had no confidence in the health system in Zimbabwe, which they accused him of destroying. Bona’s second child also likely to be born outside the country.
Robert Jnr and Chatunga Bellarmine Mugabe are reported to be holed up in South Africa ever since the Zimbabwe Defence Forces launched Operation Restore Legacy, which ultimately resulted in their father losing power and agreeing to resign as president, after 37 years in power. The Mugabe family is said to have been considering buying a third home in South Africa, as it already owns two mansions in the exclusive Sandton area.
Grace Mugabe’s first son with ex-husband Stanley Goreraza, Russell Gorereza is reported to be Grace’s only child who is still in Zimbabwe.

Former President Robert Mugabe’s sons, Chatunga Bellarmine and Robert Jr, officially launched their entertainment company in South Africa. The brothers, who have become infamous for their playboy lifestyles launched Trip Life at the exclusive Harem nightclub in Sandton. Chatunga went on to say that a revolutionary leader cannot be fired and that he was proud of his father.   The young Mugabe said all this before his father gave his speech on ZBC TV, in which he did not announce that he was resigning as widely expected.  Mugabe has been in negotiations with the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) generals after the military took over power on Wednesday.
Writing on Facebook, Chatunga said:

After his father’s speech, Chatunga went on thank all those who sacrifice for Zimbabwe saying  that we all have a responsibility to keep Zimbabwe and guard our sovereignty

A video of Chatunga and Robert Mugabe Jr partying has been doing the rounds on social media. In the video Chatunga can be seen washing his hands with champagne. He can also be seen pouring the champagne on a diamond encrusted watch, perhaps to show that it is genuine.
In August this year, Chatunga posted a video of him drinking Armand de Brignac, colloquially known as the “Ace of Spades” champagne, which sells for between R5000 and R7000 a bottle. He was also wearing a camouflage sweater, which ironically has been banned in Zimbabwe. In the latest video Chatunga washes his hands with the same brand of Champagne (“Ace of Spades”). President Robert Mugabe’s son Chatunga was seen at McDonald’s in New York with some bodyguards carrying Gucci bags.
Chatunga is part of Mugabe’s 70 member delegation that traveled with him to the United Nations where he is attending a summit scheduled to end on September 23. The list of those who traveled with Mugabe include family members; First Lady Grace Mugabe, their daughter Bona and grandson Simbanashe. Each person on the trip is likely to spend $15 000 during the 10 days they will be in the United States.
