In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ZRP reported that four people lost their lives in the accident, while an additional four suffered serious injuries.
The accident involved a Toyota Noah vehicle that was transporting seven passengers when it veered off the road to the left, overturned, and landed on its roof.
The bodies of the deceased were subsequently transported to Gutu Mission Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
Meanwhile, the injured passengers were admitted to the same hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

The Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicle had allegedly tried to overtake the Toyota Hilux vehicle, which was turning right. S
ubsequently, the Chevrolet Trailblazer vehicle hit the Toyota Hilux vehicle on the right lamp. The Toyota Hilux vehicle overturned before landing on its left side.
Two injured victims were admitted at Chegutu General Hospital.
Meanwhile, two people were killed while nine others were injured when a Toyota Toace truck with eleven passengers on board veered off the road at a curve along Pickstone-Burn Bank Road, Chegutu, at around 1545 hours.
As a result, all the passengers in the loading box were thrown out of the vehicle. The bodies of the victims were taken to Chegutu General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem, while the injured are admitted at the same hospital.
In Mutare, three people were killed when a Volvo haulage truck with three passengers on board veered off the road and overturned before landing on its roof at around 1030 hours along the Harare-Mutare road near the Wise Owl turn-off.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police implores motorists to observe all road rules and regulations and exercise extreme caution to safeguard lives on the roads.

According to <a href="https://www.herald.co.zw/three-feared-dead-in-city-horror-crash/">The Herald</a>, eyewitnesses alleged that the truck driver was speeding and failed to stop before colliding with a Nissan NV van, which was reportedly en route to an unspecified destination for a funeral.
One of the passengers in the Nissan NV van was trapped for some time as the back of the vehicle was extensively damaged.
The truck landed on its side, spilling the washing powder. Angry residents from Kuwadzana and Dzivaresekwa, who blamed the truck driver for the fatal accident, allegedly looted several 2kg packets of the washing powder and disappeared into the darkness.
Some heavily built men believed to have been hired to guard the consignment threatened to beat up anyone attempting to loot the washing powder.
The truck driver reportedly fled the scene after the accident, as people sought to assault him for allegedly causing the accident.
A kombi, which did not have passengers, and another small car were also damaged in the incident.

Beitbridge residents flocked to the local hospital, hoping to find out if their relatives were among the victims.
The Civil Protection Committee, along with the police and members of the national army, was said to be on the scene.

In the Gokwe accident which occurred at around 1800 hours this evening, a Nissan Sulphy hit a pot hole at the four kilometre peg along Gokwe-Siabuwa Road and in the process had a head on collision with a Nissan AD Van vehicle with nine occupants. Six people died, three from each vehicle.
Eight people were injured, three critically and five sustained moderate injuries.
They were taken to Gokwe General Hospital for medical attention.
The Police will release full details on the two road traffic accidents on 10th August 2024.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on Wednesday, August 7, at around 7:20 PM. The incident took place at the 53-kilometre-peg along the Harare-Mutare highway.
In a statement, ZRP spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said that a Ford Ranger vehicle carrying two passengers collided head-on with a Honda Fit vehicle transporting five passengers.
The tragic collision resulted in the deaths of five individuals, while four others sustained injuries. The victims were identified as follows:

Five Killed, Four Injured In Head-on Collision On Harare-Mutare Highway

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on 28 July at around 1.30 PM along the Mutare-Masvingo Road at the 134-kilometre peg.
Police said a Mitsubishi Colt vehicle was travelling along the road when its front right tyre suddenly burst, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The Mitsubishi Colt then veered off the road and overturned multiple times before eventually landing back on its wheels.
The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of three people who were travelling in the Mitsubishi Colt.
Nine other occupants of the vehicle sustained various injuries and were rushed to the nearby Birchenough Bridge Hospital for medical treatment.
The bodies of the deceased were also transported to the hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
In a separate incident on the same day, at around 5:45 AM, a head-on collision occurred along Willowvale Road, opposite the Old Willowvale Flats in Harare.
A Toyota Hiace Kombi, which was carrying several passengers, collided head-on with a Honda Fit vehicle.
The impact of the collision resulted in the death of one individual, while 13 others suffered injuries of varying severity.

3 Killed, 9 Injured As Overloaded Mitsubishi Colt Vehicle Overturns

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed a fatal road traffic accident that occurred on the Harare-Bulawayo highway at the 164-kilometre peg on July 26, 2024, at around 6 PM.
In a statement, Police said two pedestrians and the driver of a Nissan Sulphy vehicle were killed when the vehicle veered off the road and struck the pedestrians who were waiting for transport at the Ngwena bus stop.
In addition to the three fatalities, two passengers travelling in the Nissan Sulphy vehicle were injured in the incident.
The bodies of the victims have been transported to the Kwekwe General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination, while the injured passengers are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
The accident occurred just a day after two pedestrians were killed, and two others were injured when a Nissan NP200 vehicle, which had no passengers on board, veered off the road and struck the victims who were walking along a footpath approximately 70 metres away from the road.
This fatal accident occurred on the Masvingo-Mbalabala Road, at the 103-kilometre peg, on July 25, 2024, at around 7 AM.
