"Our Prisons Are Not Full", Mnangagwa Warns Violence Instigators

President-elect Emmerson Mnangagwa has warned the opposition against fomenting chaos in the country following a disputed election, saying “Our prisons are not full”, reported NewsDay.
Addressing scores of delegates and party supporters at the commissioning of the Sabi Star Lithium Floatation Plant in Buhera on Thursday, 31 August, Mnangagwa said:
We will not stop our development plans and programmes because of the noise from some little boys. They will continue making noise, but we shall continue to move on.
… But I warn anybody who may want to be nonsensical and bring chaos in this country, we are ready to deal with any chaos.
Whoever will preach hate speech shall be responsible for their hate speech. Our prisons are not full. We want peace, we want unity.
Responding to Mnangagwa’s warning, CCC spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi said the President-elect is unfit to govern. He said:
We are considering approaching the Constitutional Court in respect of these utterances.
As a de facto President, Mr. Mnangagwa is compelled by the constitution to uphold peace, protect the constituency and any failure to do so may warrant an impeachment.
In addition to the fact that he lost the elections, Mr. Mnangagwa’s utterances show that he is unfit to govern.
Mnangagwa garnered 52.6% of the vote against CCC presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa’s 44%, but the latter has rejected the results alleging rigging.
Meanwhile, Mnangagwa will be sworn in as Zimbabwe’s leader for a second and final term on 04 September.
A circular issued by Foreign Affairs and International Trade permanent secretary, James Manzou dated August 31, 2023, and addressed to Heads of Missions, indicates that Mnangagwa has already sent out invitations to world leaders to attend the event.

Check definition of democracy boss and stop mocking others.
Change starts with us if us as citizen, neighbors and fellow brethren and families can't even engange in a conversation without using foul language (ukitbetbisana/kutukana) then basically the wjole national is going nowhere.
Until and when we learn to present our thoughts like mature people then we cant fix our economy

I beg to differ there are Zimbabweans so you can't say they wasted resources. They paid fees fully and they are allowed to go and earn in any country where they see fit. ZANU PF and CCC elites they have their children learning abroad hence causing a cash leakage by using locally earned money to finance their children's education outside Zimbabwe.
If I bought bread and decide to let it expire and toss it away its a loss to me but not yo the bakery or shop owner cause I gave them what they want and I got what I want.
Waste of resources is buying cars using tax payers money and store them in CMED. Waste of resources is misappropriation of tax payers money by developing one city whilst living others in ruins.

Ok yah you have a point.
I've been working for a while in Zim this is my second job the previous one I literally ran away cause of being ill treated. Currently my oay is little, economy is not booming or even giving me opportunity to earn something outside work. Its all about connections or doing illegal deals.
15 years you pay payee of approximately 35%, everytime you buy you lose 15% to vat, 2 or 1% to remittance pegged by Mthuli for every transaction. Also you incur serious bank swipe chargers which are a big chunk at the end of the day you have no savings all your pay is gone, you cant invest or do something except that 60% is siphoned by government and its ways to raise funds 40 percent left cant even give you bread for the month.
So basically the economy is forcing people to go work abroad. Then secondly we as Zimbabweans we're killing each otbe imagine in your company your boss earns 50 times more than someone after him that is way more than bottom level employee. Boss has a company car, company house, company pays food, fees and anything literally his money is for doing person projects. On the other side anothe employee doesn't have any fringe benefit and tjeir pay are peanuts there are living hand to mouth.
So basically human capital leakage is caused by us people we arw suppressing each other especially us africans 🙌🙌

CID, that's the beauty of democracy we are supposed to have a cross pollination of ideas, but you cannot pass your opinion as a final verdict.If ZANU PF is a genuine political party loved by the people why is it afraid of Diaspora Vote...Why are Zimbabweans flocking to South Africa every year when everything is going smoothly at home. Some went as far as UK, Australia, USA their vote matters why can't they be given an opportunity to exercise their democratic right as enshrined in the Country's Constitution which ZANU PF claims is people centered and driven???

What happened on the 17th of November 2017 was a Coup.This was evidenced by his appointment of Perence Shiri, S B Moyo and Fake Dr, General Chiwenga into key Ministerial positions as a token of appreciation for helping him in gaining levers of power.
