OpenHarare Man (20) Commits Suicide At Lover's Place "To Fix Her"
A 20-year-old Harare man committed suicide on Saturday morning at his girlfriend’s house after she had ended their relationship.
H-Metro reported that Tinotenda Zikonya hung himself on a mango tree outside his estranged lover’s house in Kuwadzana 6, Harare.
The now-deceased’s lover, only identified as Memory, said their differences started in December when Tinotenda cheated on her. She said:
Whenever I wanted to break up with him he threatened to commit suicide.
We have been dating since July 2021 and after he cheated on me, I decided to end the relationship but he did not take it lightly.
And, on top of it all akundinyepera hanzi ndatora US$900 dollars (He lied that I had stolen US$900 from him).
He threatened to fix me.
Akandi cheater neumwe musikana (He cheated on me with some other girl) so that’s why I said I can’t continue naye (with him).
Reports claim Tinotenda came to the house o Friday, at around 10 AM, and assaulted Memory’s parents.
