Educationist, Dr Caiphus Nziramasanga, says the Nziramasanga Commision of Inquiry recommended the removal of Grade 7, Form 2 and Form 4 (Ordinary Level) examinations.
Speaking during ZTN’s Current Affairs show, Nziramasanga said the commission of Inquiry which was commissioned by former President Robert Mugabe in 1998 to inquire into the Education System of Zimbabwe, recommended that only partial Form 6 examinations should be taken.
He said only the students who sought to specialise in the academic area would take adding that it would be the general examination that could be taken at schools. Watch the video below for more:

Yaa in some sense Dr Nziramasanga was right. Ini ndinoona zvangu kuti general education inofanira kugumira ku Primary then kumwe kwese uko ma students ozongo specializer nema learning areas avo till vapinda mu industry. A normal economy where opportunities are open to all can adopt that system.
The current economy is not aducating people for the international economy where academic qualifications are in high demand.
If we had a functional economy we would do away with these exams and focus on practical skills development. Graduates from the system would be innovators who would develop our industries. Our current setup where the economy is not a productive one does not help. People are happier importing from overseas inventors and innovators and will fight those that try to change that.
