Lady Chevrons' Assistant Coach Collapses And Dies

Lady Chevrons’ assistant coach, Sinikiwe Mpofu has died.

The former national team’s opening batsman collapsed this Saturday, according to ZBC News.

Her death comes barely a month after that of her husband, Shepherd Makunura.

Meanwhile, former Mighty Warriors striker, Rifaro Machingura is set to be buried on Sunday at Zororo Memorial Park this Sunday.

Machingura, nicknamed Mafidi, succumbed to kidney failure on Thursday morning at home in Harare.

She was accorded a State-assisted funeral.

Rufaro’s sister, Ms Becky Machingura said the government provided food and transport starting today till tomorrow. She added:

We are delighted they have sponsored all the costs from the casket and the resting place.

Doves have come on board to take the body to the parlor and bring her home until we bury her at Zororo this Sunday.

The 30-year-old is survived by a four-month-old son.

Mourners are gathered at House Number 4617 Retreat Park, Waterfalls, in Harare.
