Killer: POLAD Needs Chamisa To Gain Relevance
Former Chivi South MP, Killer Zivhu (ZANU PF), says President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Political Actors Dialogue Actors (POLAD) needs MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa to be part of it to become relevant.
Zivhu made the remarks after former ZANU PF youth league national commissar Godfrey Tsenengamu told a local daily publication that Chamisa will be isolated if he insists on refusing to join POLAD.
However, posting on Twitter, Zivhu said Tsenengamu does not understand politics as Chamisa’s absence from POLAD will not isolate him from his supporters. Said Zivhu:
Some politicians don’t understand politics, Chamisa is not isolated from his followers. POLAD needs Chamisa to gain relevance, not the other way round.
Zvinodiwa chete (What is needed) is not POLAD but an improvement on infrastructure, the value of our dollar, reform, respect to citizens and dialogue.
Meanwhile, MDC Alliance national vice-chairperson, Job Sikhala has demanded that the government disclose the source of the funds that were used to buy 19 Isuzu D-Max cars which Mnangagwa doled out to POLAD principals on Friday. Said Sikhala:
As a nation, we want tw know where the money that bought the POLAD vehicles was drawn from. There was no such appropriation in the last national budget.
So can Mnangagwa tell us where he got the money he used two buy those vehicles from? We want full answers otherwise we will raise dust.
MDC Alliance spokesperson Fadzayi on Tuesday said the opposition party has no intentions of joining POLAD.
Mahere described POLAD as an outfit for illegitimate parties who are there to promote autocracy in the country.
