Jonathan Moyo Releases The Names Of Muchehiwa's Alleged Abductors
Exiled politician and former cabinet minister Jonathan Moyo has released the names of alleged intelligent operatives and state agents who took part in the abduction and subsequent torture of Mduduzi Mathuthu’s 22-year-old nephew Tawanda Muchehiwa, Newsday reports.
According to the publication, Jonathan Moyo, who usually uses his social media accounts for such exposés alleged that:
…Muchehiwa was abducted not by police officers but at least four operatives from the Central Intelligence Organisation Frank Muzembe, Innocent Chigona, Joshua Zingwe and Ronald Musarurwa.
FeedbackOthers implicated by Moyo are Brian “Beeman” Maguya, Samson Munyaradzi Chikadaya, Abraham Pasi, Anyway Sithole, Mungate Mungate, Fidel Murume and Tawonga Nyemba, who is also known as Togarepi Ringisai.
Moyo now says he has been handed names of the five CIO operatives who carried out the torture: Mqondisi Ncube of Gwanda, William Manzunzu from Bikita, Assistant Intelligence Officer Joseph “Wasu” Ndlovu from Chipinge, Benson Mupamhadzi and Tonderai Chiguya, the alleged driver of the hired Ford Ranger in which Muchehiwa was driven.
The investigation into the abduction of Muchehiwa has been moving at a snail pace according to Muchehiwa’s lawyer. Godwin Matanga assigned a new task force to investigate the abduction after officers who were initially investigating the abduction were transferred to different places during the investigation.
This came after Impala Car rental’s boss said they gave Mduduzi Mathuthu the names of the people who hired the car that was used to abduct Muchehiwa and a former Bulawayo Women Assembly boss claiming Muchehiwa wanted to bomb government buildings on 31 July.
