JSC Postpones Public Interviews For Constitutional Court Judges
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has postponed public interviews to select candidates for appointment as Judges of the Constitutional Court which were set for the 7th and 8th of September to the 28th and 29th of September 2020.
In a statement, the JSC said the postponement is to ensure compliance with the coronavirus regulations and the need to put in place technical systems that will allow shortlisted candidates who are currently out of the country to take part in the interviews. The statement read:
The Judicial Service Commission wishes to advise members of the public and stakeholders that the interviews to select candidates for appointment as Judges of the Constitutional Court which were scheduled for the 7th and 8th of September 2020 have been postponed to the 28th and 29th of September 2020.
FeedbackThe reason for the postponement is to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 Regulations during the interviews as well as the need to put in place the necessary technical systems to accommodate candidates who are currently residing outside Zimbabwe and have failed to travel for the interviews due to the Covid-19 restrictions on cross-border travel.
Any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.
