Econet To Review The Price Of Data Bundle Soon - Report

Zimbabwe’s largest Mobile Network Operator(MNO) Econet Wireless is mulling a data bundle price hike citing rising operating costs and inflation, The Herald reports.

This was revealed by a source from the MNO who spoke to the publication and said:

We will be reviewing our data bundle prices and it could come in a week or two, if not earlier. The price of our data bundles are, on average, currently the lowest on the market right now

According to the source, Econet is expected to hike their data bundle prices by almost 50% to meet their operating costs. The planned price increase might bring the data bundle prices at par with those of other MNOs like NetOne and Telecel.
