Zimbabwean international footballer, Khama Billiat has parted ways with football agent Michael Ngobeni after spending two years with the South African agency M-Sport Management.
The 30-year-old Kaizer Chiefs forward is now represented by Godfrey Bakasa who also managed musicians such as Stunner and Seh Calaz. Speaking to Goal, Ngoveni said:
It’s true that I am no longer representing Khama. He had a two-year contract with us and that contract expired. He then decided against renewing it and he was well within his rights.
Ngobeni further said that he had accepted Billiat’s decision and had moved on adding that there was no bad blood between them as others are suggesting. He added:
We can’t be selfish as agents. If a player says he wants to move on with someone else then let him go because who knows? He might have been promised a move to Arsenal.
Ngobeni played an essential role in facilitating Billiat’s move from Mamelodi Sundowns to Amakhosi in 2018, a move which saw him becoming the highest-paid player in the South African league.
Billiat has however not yet reproduced the form he had at Sundowns which saw him nominated for the best African-based player.
