Jah Signal Show Set For Masvingo To Go Ahead
The organisers of a show featuring Zimdancehall chanter Jah Signal and hip hop maestro, Takura, scheduled for Masvingo this coming weekend have confirmed that the event will go ahead since there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the town.
DTL Records, organisers of the shows, said they will ensure the safety of show-gowers by searching for dangerous weapons and making it mandatory for patrons to undergo coronavirus screening. DTL media liaison Terminator Makoni had this to say:
Just like any show, our security personnel usually searches revellers for weapons and other harmful products at the venues. This time around, we’re engaging health personnel to also conduct scans for coronavirus as we don’t want to put our patrons at risk.
FeedbackThe shows will go ahead as planned as no incidents of coronavirus have been reported in Masvingo so far. We’ve not yet heard any cases even at nearby places so it’s all clear.
The government is expected to announce its position on public gatherings amid reports that some regional countries such as South Africa have banned sporting events to prevent large gatherings.
