Winky D Promises 'Flames' At Album Launch
Zimdancehall artiste Winky D has promised fireworks tonight at the launch of his latest album, Njema, at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Writing on the microblogging social media site Twitter, the “Kasong Kejecha” hitmaker said:
Musaone ndinyerere ndikurova mapress ups kuitira manheru, it’s going to be flames. Let us do it tonight.
FeedbackThe launch of the album has generated controversy, with some reports claiming that the government at one point mulled banning it because of alleged political undertones.
However, Home Affairs Minister Kazembe Kazembe on Tuesday morning dismissed the reports, saying that the Zimbabwe Republic Police’s (ZRP) meeting with the artiste’s management team on Monday was meant to ensure that proper procedure was followed.
