"We Can Never All Of Us Be Equal," President Mnangagwa
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that citizens will never be equal but at least there can be equal opportunities for all.
Speaking to members of the Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) forum at his Kwekwe farm this Sunday, Mnangagwa said:
We can never all of us be equal. What can be done is to have opportunities put at our disposal, have loans and have everyone access the loans.
FeedbackWe can have, and we should have policies to empower our people…we must create windows where our youths access loans to empower themselves.
He added that Zimbabweans must do away with the dependency syndrome saying that everyone should work for transformation to happen.
Others would, however, equate his remarks to “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others,” a proclamation by the pigs who control the government in the novel Animal Farm, by George Orwell.
