FC Platinum (FCP) coach Lizwe Sweswe believes his charges could have done better in the 2-1 loss to Al Hilal in their opening match in Group B in CAF Champions League.

Speaking to reporters after the match played in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum on Friday night, Sweswe said:

I think we could have done better but the boys did well.

From my observation the match was okay. In terms of application they did well, l think we need to work on our defending. These are big matches you learn as you go.

Al Hilal scored both goals through Mohamed Musa Eldai in ether half while Never Tigere scored for FCP direct from a free-kick.

The loss leaves the Zimbabwean champions bottom on the standings after Egypt’s Al Ahly lost 1-0 away to Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel.
