Chaos As Caps United Lose To Chicken Inn
Harare giants, Caps United resorted to violence after losing 1-0 to PSL opponents in a match played this Wednesday.
Caps United fans threw missiles onto the field after the referee awarded Chicken Inn a penalty following a foul on Obriel Chirinda by Caps goal minder, Tonderai Mateyaunga inside the box.
Makepekepe players confronted the referee Happy Mabhena in protest of the 73rd-minute penalty but failed to convince him to change his mind.
They then walked out of the pitch in protest but later came back. Chicken Inn defender, Passmore Bernard converted the penalty into the nets.
Caps United players confronted the referee again at stoppage time thereby causing chaos on the pitch.
The situation calmed when more police details were deployed around the dressing room.
