ZANU PF Honours Promise To Grace And Bona Mugabe
The Daily News reports that the late former President Robert Mugabe’s widow Grace and daughter, Bona have received title deeds for the land on which the Blue Roof Mansion and another property were built.
The move was confirmed on Thursday by Zanu PF secretary for administration Obert Mpofu who, however, said that the dispute between the Mugabes and property owners who wanted part of the Blue Roof back was a private matter. Said Mpofu:
We have done the process of transferring the properties.
FeedbackRecent reports had suggested that the ruling party intended to reposses the Blue Roof mansion which is alleged to have been built using ZANU PF funds, but President Emmerson Mnangagwa said that was not going to happen.
The Mugabe family, especially his widow Grace’s push for the late national hero to be buried in Zvimba instead of at the National Heroes Acre angered ZANU PF bigwigs who then resolved to seize the property and turn it into a museum.
