ED Meets Chief Zvimba, Mugabe Family... Still No News On Place Of Burial
A delegation from the family of the late President Robert Mugabe and their traditional leaders, led by Chief Zvimba met President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Tuesday at Munhumutapa Building in Harare on Tuesday.
Deputy Chief Secretary – Presidential Communications, George Charamba had this to say:
The delegation appreciated government support from the time of hospitalization and treatment of former President and founding father, Cde Mugabe, right up to the time of his passing on.
FeedbackThey were thankful especially for government’s arrangements and support in repatriating the remains of the former President which are expected in tomorrow afternoon.
The Delegation pledged full support to government arrangements and programmes which are being drawn up and executed in close consultation with the family of the late departed.
Meanwhile, Mugabe’s remains are expected in Zimbabwe on Wednesday. The body will be accompanied by the late former President’s close relatives, widow Grace Mugabe, and ZANU PF and government officials who include Vice President Kembo Mohadi and former Defence minister Sydney Sekeramayi.
