Writing on social media, journalist and political commentator, Hopewell Chin’ono said that the prices are not going up, but rather going down. He wrote:

Contrary to what Mthuli Ncube [Finance and Economic Development] and the government are saying, prices haven’t gone up, they are actually going down.

2 years ago a loaf of bread was a dollar, now its 72 cents. It is their useless RTGS dollar that has been exposed. It is the economy saying it needs Political Reforms!
