Dynamos, Highlanders Face Off In Uhuru Cup Contest

Dynamos Football Club, better known as Dembare and Highlanders Football Club, popularly known as Bosso are set to play each other once again in the Independence trophy at the giant National Sports Stadium on 18 April.

The match will seal celebrations for Zimbabwe’s 39th anniversary. The encounter is a repeat of 2017 final which was won by Dynamos.

It also sees a shift back to the traditional format where local teams take part in the Cup. Last year’s edition pitted the Warriors against Botswana with the latter winning it 1-0.
