Chamisa Calls On DRC Electoral Authorities To Release Election Results Timely
MDC president Nelson Chamisa said that the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) electoral body should release the results of the election held in the country on December 30.
The outgoing President, Joseph Kabila, has been in power for almost two decades. The vast, mineral-rich country has experienced years conflict as various militias and warlords fight for the control of mineral resources.
Chamisa said that the DRC electoral body must release accurate results and not undermine the voice of the Congolese people. Said Chamisa:
The DRC electoral body must release ‘accurate’ results timely and not undermine the voice of the Congolese people.
Kudos to the DRC Catholic Church bishops for standing with the truth. What Zec did in Zimbabwe must never be a script worthy emulating. Africa change, excel and shine!
