I Am Here To Listen To What President Says, Not To Judge His Actions: Shamu Speaks On Sacking
Zanu-PF politician Webster Shamu who was recently sacked as the Minister of State for Mashonaland West said that he will follow President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s directive and not question it. Speaking to NewsDay, Shamu said,
The President appoints and the President fires. I am not the President and I cannot speak about what His Excellency has done. I am not His Excellency, the President. I am not here to stand as judge over His Excellency’s action. I have never done that in my life. I am not here to judge him, no, that is not my job. I am here to listen to what he says.
Shamu was accused of rigging Zanu-PF primary elections as well as plotting against Mnangagwa’s special adviser Christopher Mutsvangwa to ensure that he was defeated in the Zanu-PF primary elections.
