Wicknell Accuses Business Partner Of Plotting Boardroom Coup To Push Him Out Of Intratek

Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has accused his partner his business partner Yusuf Ahmid of plotting to push him out of Intratek Zimbabwe, the company which won the tender for the US$200 million Gwanda Solar Power Project. This follows claims by Ahmed’s lawyer Bruce Tokwe, that Chivayo ceded his shares in the company in 2014 and was now working for the company as a managing director. Tokwe made the claims while appearing before the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Mines and Energy. However, Chivayo insists that he owns 50 percent of Intratek.

Chivayo’s lawyer Wilson Manase, wrote to Bruce Tokwe saying

Your demand (for documents) has been inopportunely made at a time when both your clients and yourself jointly and severally engaged certain officials from ZESA Holdings on or around 25 January 2018 on an inimical attempt to illegally topple our client from his rightful position as a 50 percent shareholder in Intratrek Zimbabwe and its managing director

…Their conduct is only explained by sheer greed and self-absorbed interests to acquire undeserving gains from the Gwanda Solar 100MW project.
