New cracks emerge in Zanu-PF
Zanu-PF officials who spoke to NewsDay said that new provincial leaders are picking their allies to attend the party’s Extraordinary Congress set for Harare on Friday. They claim that well deserving officials are being left out under the guise of being G40.
In Manicaland, some members claimed they were left out despite not having been members of G40. However, when contacted for comment by NewsDay, Manicaland provincial chairman Mike Madiro dismissed the claim and said that he did not leave anyone out. He said that anyone who feels that they were left out should use proper channels and not approach the newspapers.
In Mashonaland east there was a misunderstanding over the accreditation of members to attend the congress and this was confirmed by Provincial chairperson Joel Biggie Matiza who told NewsDay that the issue had been resolved. Zanu PF national political commissar Victor Matemadanda urged disgruntled members to approach the nearest party offices for redress.
