Dema accident death toll rises as 2 of three survivors die in hospital

The death toll in the Dema commuter omnibus accident which occurred on Monday has risen to 10, after two of the three survivors died on admission at Chitungwiza Central Hospital and Parirenyatwa Hospital.

Speaking to The Herald, Chitungwiza Central Hospital public relations officer Mrs Nyaradzai Tasaranarwo confirmed the death of one of the victims while indications are that one of the other two who were transferred to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for treatment of head injuries died on admission.

Police chief spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba yesterday provided names for two of the deceased who are commuter omnibus driver Nemonic Ganganje (26), and Coleen Mutsetsiwa (28). Charamba said that the rest of the names will be revealed after their next of kin has been notified.
