Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe says Three-tier pricing is illegal

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe has declared that it is illegal for businesses to charge three different prices for goods depending on the currency being used.

Some businesses are charging three different prices for United States dollars, Bond notes or electric transfers. Speaking of the 100 days bond notes RBZ Deputy Governor Dr Khupukile Mlambo said the practice was illegal and needed to be stopped forthwith. The practice has been rife among service stations.
