Zanu PF criticises Nkosana Moyo's assessment on the causes of Zim's cash crisis
The Zanu PF Government has criticised former Industry and International Trade Minister Nkosana Moyo’s assessment that Government’s financial indiscipline and failure to grow the economy that has largely contributed to the current financial crisis.
In a strong worded statement, Government alleges Moyo is being positioned for a faction of an opposition party and accuses him of being “spineless” and a quitter who left Government in 2001 in a rush after failing to contribute anything meaningful to the development of Zimbabwe. Zanu PF further says that “Zimbabweans have a right not to expect any solution from a person who deserted them in the past and now, quisling-like, seeks to join another party.”
Though not saying the cause of the current cash crisis, Government claims that Moyo, having been associated with a few International Finance Institutions, should be the first one to understand the reasons why Zimbabwe is in its current economic situation.
