Erling Haaland and Phil Foden got a hat-trick each when Manchester City defeated their neighbours in a Manchester derby played Sunday at Etihad Stadium.
Foden was the first to score just 8 minutes into the match.
Haaland doubled the lead with a powerful header from De Bruyne’s corner.
He made it 3 – 0 moments later when he slid in a cross from De Bruyne. 
Moments before the break, Haaland assisted Foden who made it 4-0.
A few minutes into the 2nd half. Antony pulled one back when he curled a left-footed strike towards goal beating Ederson to find the bottom-right corner.
Haaland responded with a goal about 8 minutes later to complete his hat-trick. 
The Norwegian then assisted Foden who completed his first career hat-trick.
Antony Martial then pulled another one for the Reds to make it 6-2 just 6 minutes before stoppage time.
Martial later converted from the spot after Cancelo caught the ankle of the Frenchman on the turn.
The match ended 6-3 in favour of the Blues, the highest-ever scoring Manchester derby in any competition.
This was the 1st time City scored six goals in a home game against Man U in all competitions. In 1926, City won 6-1; in 2011, City won 6-1 again, both matches were at Old Trafford.

Haaland, Foden Get Hat-tricks As City Beat Manchester United

The UEFA Champions League returned to action on Tuesday 28 September with Paris Saint Germain hosting English Champions, Manchester City.
PSG won 2-0 with their new arrival, Lionel Messi slotting the last goal for the French giants, his first goal since arriving from Barcelona.
Manchester City suffered their first Champions League group stage defeat since September 2018, when they lost 2-1 to Lyon; they had been unbeaten in 18 such games since then.
Real Madrid lost by 2 goals to one when they played Sheriff Tiraspol, a Moldovan team and Champions League newcomers. 
Atletico Madrid came from behind to beat 10-man Milan 2-1. Leao gave the hosts the lead in the first half when he slotted in from a corner. Kessie was sent off just before the half-hour mark for his second booking. 
Atletico pushed in the second half, and Griezmann equalised in the 84th minute with his first goal since returning to the club. In stoppage time, Kalulu handled the ball and Suarez slotted home the winner from the spot in the seventh minute of added time.
Dortmund won 1-0 against Portuguese Champions, Sporting CP whose fate already looks to be battling for third place in Group C, which would secure them a Europa League spot next year.
Liverpool had a 5-1 victory over Porto to cement their place at the top of Group B. They have won both of their Champions League matches played so far.
The Reds got goals from Salah (2), Mane (1) and Firmino (2).
Club Brugge, Marvelous Nakamba’s former club, made an excellent comeback as they came from 1-0 down to beat RP Leipzig 2-1 in Germany. 
Club Brugge picked up their first-ever away victory against German opposition in European competition, having been winless in 14 away matches against such opposition prior to tonight (D4 L10).

Manchester City Dominate PFA PL Team Of The Year

Manchester City’s central midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has signed a new 4-year contract with the blues and said he is now focused on making sure the club ends “the season with the silverware we deserve.”
The 29-year-old Belgian star signed the deal worth more than his previous £300,000 a week before bonuses and cements him as one of the Premier League’s biggest earners.
The new deal for De Bruyne was first mooted 13 months ago but De Bruyne who has been conducting talks himself alongside two lawyers has remained relaxed through negotiations.
De Bruyne will hit a decade at the Etihad Stadium if he fulfils his latest new contract – mirroring the longevity of Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Vincent Kompany. Speaking after signing the contract, the former Chelsea midfielder said:

Manchester City Confirm Champions League Squad

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne (29) has won the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) men’s Players’ Player of the Year award.
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, 21, won the men’s Young Player of the Year award.
Jordan Henderson was among five Liverpool players to be named in the Premier League team of the season.
And Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford won a PFA merit award for his work combating child food poverty.
De Bruyne becomes the first Manchester City player to win the award since its inception at the end of the 1973-74 season. He said:
<blockquote>This is a big honour. To be voted by your colleagues, competitors from other teams who you always play against on the field. That they vote for you for best player; it’s amazing.
It’s maybe strange that I’m the first one at City, seeing all the good players who played there before and who are still playing. But it’s nice to represent the club.</blockquote>
De Bruyne contributed a record-equalling 20 assists and scored 13 goals as Manchester City finished a massive 18 points behind champions Liverpool last term.
Reds pair Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were the past two winners and went on to lift the trophy last season, having come close in previous years.
Alexander-Arnold won the men’s young player of the year award, ahead of Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

Kevin de Bruyne Voted PFA Players’ Player Of The Year

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has said City made costly mistakes, the reason why the team did not proceed to semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
City bowed out of the competition for the third straight season after a shocking 3-1 loss to Tinotenda Kadewere’s French team, Lyon in Lisbon on Saturday. The former Barcelona coach said:
<blockquote>One day we’ll break this gap to the quarter-finals. The second half was OK, I had a feeling we were better but you have to be perfect in these competitions.
I don’t want to talk about the circumstances (of Dembele’s first goal), it looks like I’m complaining or finding excuses. We are out. We did a lot of good things and in the end it was not enough.
You have to be perfect in these competitions in one game and we weren’t. We made mistakes in both boxes at key moments and that’s why we are out.</blockquote>
City were favourites to winning the match after eliminating La Liga giants Real Madrid from the competition.
The Blues have never gone beyond the quarter-finals since Guardiola took over from Manuel Pellegrini despite ensembling arguably one of the strongest teams in the world.
City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne was not pleased with the result. Speaking to BT Sport, he said:

"One Day We’ll Break This Gap," Pep Guardiola On Why Man City Crashed Out Of The Champions League

English giants, Manchester City were on Saturday eliminated from the UEFA Champions League after losing to French side Lyon 3-1 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The Cityzens were favourites to win and proceed to the semi-finals with Bayern Munich until Maxwel Cornet’s first-half strike which put Lyon ahead.
City equalised when Kevin De Bruyne smashed a Sterling cut-back in at the right post from the heart of the box in the second half.
Two late goals from super-sub Moussa Dembele on the counter-attack saw Lyon cancelling out the Belgian international’s equaliser.
Pep Guardiola has never taken Manchester City past the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite dominating the English football since his arrival.
He has been eliminated in each of his three appearances at this stage of the competition with Man City (17-18, 18-19 &amp; 19-20).
His predecessor, Manuel Pellegrini had reached the semi-finals in the 2015-16 season which they lost to Real Madrid.

Manchester City Eliminated From The UEFA Champions League

Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne has said that it is now clear that Liverpool will win the EPL Championship.
He told Sky Sports that City would rather target to win all other competition they are still participating in including the Carabao Cup (final with Aston Villa this Sunday) and the UEFA Champions League.
City are trailing runaway Liverpool who are 22 points clear at the top of the English Premier League log with only 10 matches left before the season comes to an end.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Belgian international said:

"We Know The League Is Gone" De Bruyne

English champions, Manchester City have appealed against a two-year ban from the UEFA Champions League. The ban was imposed after it emerged that City between 2012 and 2016 allegedly violated Financial Fair Play regulations.
City who deny the accusations have now approached the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) seeking the reversal of the ban and it is not Known when the verdict will be issued.
Cas arbitration procedures involve an exchange of written submissions between the parties while a panel of arbitrators is convened to hear the appeal.
Meanwhile, the English Premier League is reportedly set to penalise City for the alleged offence with deduction of points a possibility.
City are currently at a distant second on the EPL log table after runaway Liverpool and any deduction of points will be a huge blow for the club which hopes to win each and every remaining game to mount pressure on Liverpool.

English Premier League is set to deduct points from Manchester over alleged violation of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules between 2012 and 2016.
This comes after<a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/breaking-uefa-bans-man-city-from-the-championss-league-for-2-seasons/"> UEFA has also banned the Cityzens from participating in the Champions League for two years</a> and also ordered the reigning Champions of England to pay a £25million fine.
Unlike the Champions League ban that could be overturned, it is unlikely for City to evade “any punishment” that they face from the Premier League.
The report indicates that Premier League committees had already discussed potential punishments in the event that UEFA punished City.
City are currently in second place in the Premier League on 51 points, 22 points adrift of runaway leaders Liverpool and are also 27 points above the relegation zone.
