ZanuPF Congress December 2016
In December 2016, Zanu-PF is holding its 16th annual National People's Conference. The conference is being hosted in Masvingo, at the Masvingo Showgrounds The conference will run from December 13 to 17 under the theme, “Moving with ZimAsset in Peace and Unity.”
The conference was organised by a Provincial Local Organising Committee led by the Zanu-PF secretary for finance, Dr Killer Zivhu.
The conference has a planned attendance of 7,000 people.
Budget
Zanu-PF mobilised 52 cattle, and more than US $50,000. it was reported that they needed about $4 million to successfully host the conference.[1]
Resolution Proposals
- In November 2016, the Mashonaland Central province proposed a resolution to stop the president of ZanuPF from appointing his deputies, opting instead that the party's two vice presidents be elected. The resolution also proposed that one of the vice presidents be a woman.
