Ricky Fire, whose real name is Tulani Takavada, is a popular and one of the established Zimdancehall artists based in Harare. He is known for songs that include Mbudzi Huku Mombe and Dzekwa dhala. Other popular songs include Ndiratidze Zvaunoita and Zvemu TV.
Background and Music Career
Ricky fire went to Dora high school in Mutare Zimbabwe. Ricky Fire has said he grew up listening to Capleton, Sizzler and Antony B amoung other artists.
He began his career as a club DJ. He entered the music scene in 2002 with the single “Sei Wada Ini”. Ricky Fire has said that Temple Man is the one who gave him the name Ricky Fire and he says the name means "I am a fireman and I am out to burn all evil from society.”
