Background
Born Patrick Kahlari, he did his secondary education at Prince Edward High School.
Career
He recorded his first song in 2001 after being roped in by Delani Makhalima. When he moved to the United States in 2004, he was signed by a record label callled Rich Rapper International/World Premier Music after which he went on to release a song titled Blue Jeans in 2008 but the song became a hit three years later. Pee Kay rose to prominence in 2013 following the release of a single which featured fellow artist Ba Shupi called "letting go". Sice then the musician has had a lot of success and arguably the richest patch of his musical journey to date was a collaboration with Jamaican reggae sensation, Busy Signal.[1] The artist has also shared the stage with the likes of Sean Kingston, MiCasa, Uhuru and collaborated with local musicians such as Yoz, Shinsoman and Roki.[1] Besides his music career, he also has a clothing line called "Heavywait" which specialises in casual wear and is also a Graphics Designer.[1]
