Onismor Bhasera is a Zimbabwean international football player who plays as a left back. At club level, Bhasera currently plays for Supersport United, in South Africa. In the past, he has also played for Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United all in South Africa. He also played in for English Football League Two club, Plymouth Argyle where he named player of the year in 2013. [1]

Onismor Bhasera was born on the 7th of January in 1986 in Mutare.
Education
Bhasera attended Lord Marlvern High School in Harare, where he was the captail of the school soccer team. During his time, Lord Malvern won the Coca Coal National Association of Secondary Heads (NASH) Tournamnent for three consecutive years between 2001 and 2003. Bhasera also joined the Regis Dzenga project in Agatha Sheneti Soccer Academy (ASSA) which was a feeder club to Harare United.[2]
Career
Harare United
Bhasera joined Harare United, which was playing in the Zimbabwe's second tier league, Division One. His excellent performances brought him to the attention of South African clubs.
Tembisa Classic
In the 2004-2005 season Bhasera joined South African side Tembisa Classic, which used was playing in the second tier National First Division. Bhasera was part of the team that won promotion into the South African Premier Soccer League.[3]
Maritzburg United
However, Tembisa Classic sold its franchise and all of its contracts to Maritzburg United.[4] In the 2005-2006 seaon Bhasera played 27 matches in the South African Premier Soccer league (PSL) and helped the club to avoid relegation.[5] In the 2006-2007 Bhasera played 26 league teams, although he was unable to help the clun secure its place in the PSL, as the club was relegated to the second tier National First Division.[6]
Kaizer Chiefs
Bhaser's perfomances in the 2006-2007 season when Maritzburg United caught the eye of Kaizer Chiefs, one of South Africa's most prominent Clubs. Bhasera joined Chiefs at the beginnning of the 2007-2008 season. In his debut season for Kaizer Chiefs, Bhasera played 26 league games and Chiefs finished the seaon on 6th position.< ref name="NFT"/>. However, Kaizer Chiefs won the 2007 Telkom League Cup. In the 2008-2009 season, Bhasera made 25 appearances as Kaizer Chiefs finished third in the PSL and won the MTN 8 Cup.
Contract Dispute
Believing that he was a free agent, Bhasera went to England for ftraining with Portsmouth. The English club were impressed with Bhasera and offered hism a contrct in Agugust 2009. Bhasera applied for a work permit and got it. However, Kaizer Chiefs claimed that Bhasera was still contracted to them and demanded £300,000 in transfer fees. Portsmouth refused to pay the fee, resaulting in Kaizer Chiefs claiming that the English club was on the verge of insolvency.
A few weeks later Queens Park Rangers and Sheffied United were willing to sign Bhasera. Sheffied United were even prepared to pay the transfer fee demanded by Kaizer Chiefs. However, a knee injury prevented Bhasera from signing a contract, after he failed a medical test in Janaury 2010. FIFA ruled that Bhasera was a free agent meaning that Kaizer Chiefs could not claim any transfer fee.
Plymouth Argyle
After being declared a free agent, Bhasera joined Plymouth Argyle in March 2010. During this time Bhasera impressed so much that in thr2012-2013 season he was voted as the player of the year by the Supporters. Despited being offered a contract extension, Bhasera failed to return for pre-season training.
