Nelson Mawoko Chadya is a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays for Ngezi Platinum Football Club as a goalkeeper. He became one of the youngest goalkeepers to play for the Ngezi Platinum Football Club senior team in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League. Chadya is also the goalkeeper for the Zimbabwe national Under-20 football side.[1]
Professional career
Chadya started playing football when he was still in school. In the 2016 season, Chabva was the starting goalkeeper for [[Ngezi Platinum F.C. | Ngezi Platinum Football Club,and he helped his team to win the Chibuku Super Cup after defeating FC Platinum 3-1. He also guided Ngezi Platinum Stars to a 7nth place finish in the 16 team Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League.[2]
International Career
Chadya played for the Zimbabwean Under-20 national football team. At the 2016 Cosafa U-20 Championship in South Africa. Unfortunately, the Young Warriors were eliminated in the group stage after finishing third in their group. Chadya was selected as one of the three goalkeepers in the Zimbabwe Warriors squad for the 2017 Afica Cup of Nations tournament in Gabon.[2]
