Mthulisi Maphosa is a Zimbabwean footballer who was born on 20 March 1983. He is a former player for Highlanders Football Club as a defensive midfielder.
Career
Maphosa played for Zimbabwe Saints Football Club in 2001 before joining Sporting Lion Football Club in 2003. He has also featured for teams like Monomutapa Football Club, the DRC outfit, TP Mazembe and Zimbabwe's FC Platinum.[1]
He has also featured for the Zimbabwe National team.

Accident
In June 2015, Mthulisi Maphosa was involved in a car accident when his Honda CRV burst the front tire after hitting a pole. The accident happened in Cowdry Park. He was taken to Mpilo Hospital together with his younger brother and two other passengers.[2]
Controversy
Maphosa is a violent individual and has been in and out of the courts of law because of his violent streak.
Stabbing a Bulawayo man
In October 2011, it was alleged Maphosa had slapped an old man who was selling sweets, accusing him of blocking his car. Mazambane who is an employee of Zimbabwe National Army, is said to have questioned Maphosa's behaviour resulting in Maphosa stabbing him.[3] The matter was however, settled out of court.[4]
Assault Charges
In October 2014, Mthulisi reportedly assaulted his then girlfriend Nobuhle Nkomo, her friend Amanda Mbuisa and her boyfriend Bongani Rabvu in Mpopoma surburb. Maphosa alleged that Amanda Mbuisa was a bad influence on Nkomo. While appearing before Magistrate Tancy Dube, Mthulisi narrated that he had head-butted Nobuhle, Amanda and her boyfriend and assaulted them with his fists.[4] He was convicted and was ordered to perform 75 hours of community service.[5]
Bashing Mother
Mthulisi did the unthinkable in 2009, when he allegedly bashed his Mother over a dispute over ownership of a house in Mpopoma suburb. It is alleged that he stole the documents pertaining to the ownership of the house.[6]
Age Cheating
According to an article published in the Herald Mthulisi's profile in relation to his age left a lot to be desired.[1]
