Although Mwanjali managed to get regular time at the Brazilians during his early days at the club, the arrival of Mosimane at the club saw the player having limited game time and eventually being loaned to Mpumalanga Black Aces despite Mosimane's protestations that Mwanjali was still part of the team.[2] With the expiry of his loan to Mpumalanga, Mwanjali was still reported to not have been offered a new deal by Sundowns which fuelled speculation that the player may be making a return to the local league where he was still haunted by match fixing alllegations.[3] It was also reported that Black Aces were still interested in Mwanjali and it was highly speculated that the player may make move to Black Aces on a more permanent basis.[4] At the peak of his career with Sundowns, Mwanjali was the team captain. Following a successful career in the South African Super Diski, he made a return to CAPS during the 2015 mid season transfer window.[5]
