Maxwell Munodawafa Takuva is a Zimbabwean lawyer and a judge of the High Court of Zimbabwe. He was appointed by President Robert Mugabe in 2012. Justice Maxwell Takuva was sworn in on the 20th of December 2012, by President Robert Mugabe himself. [1] Before his appointment as a High Court judge, he was president of the Labour Court in the Judicial Service Commission. [2]
Background
Justice Takuva started his legal career as clerk of court and became a prosecutor in 1985. From there, he was transferred to the Attorney-General’s Office where he was promoted to the chief law officer. In 2005 he was appointed Labour Court President.[1]
