Father Gibson Francis Munyoro is a Roman Catholic Church cleric and director of the Silveira House. Father Munyoro was a chairman of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC). In 2017, Fr Munyoro took over as Arrupe College Rectorate becoming the first former Arrupe College student to be appointed Rector of his former institution.

Secondary: Kadoma and was baptized.
He reapplied to the Jesuits and was eventually admitted to the novitiate in 1995. The following is Munyoro's brief history in the Society of Jesus:
- Novitiate Lusaka 1995 to 1997
- Philosophy: Arrupe College 1997 to 2001
- University of Zimbabwe (Sociology) 2001 to 2003
- Regency 2003 to 2004
- Theology: Hekima College 2004 to 2007
- Ordination July 2007
- Tertianship: Australia January to August 2011 [1]
Tertiary: Holds a Bsc. Hons in Sociology, Social Psychology from the University of Zimbabwe.
Holds a Development Studies qualification from the University of Glasgow. [2]
Service/Career
Church
In Kadoma, Munyoro was inspired to priesthood when he saw that his parish had 53 substations yet the parish had only two priests.
Munyoro said as a result some sub-parishes would have Mass after three or four months. The furthest substation was 153km from the Parish. This became the source of Munyoro's vocation. By consulting the sisters who were working in Kadoma, they directed Gibson Munyoro through aspirancy. Initially, he wanted to be a lawyer, so he wanted a congregation that could give him this opportunity. The first application to the Jesuits never worked out, so he applied to the Franciscans where he stayed for a few months and then left.
On Saturday 25 March 2017, Fr Gibson Munyoro SJ took over as Arrupe College Rectorate from Fr. Chukwuyenum Afiawari SJ.[3]
These are the positions Munyoro has held:
- Silveira House (Project Officer in charge of peacebuilding, and Deputy Director) 2007 to 2009
- Director of Silveira House January 2012 to March 2017
In 2014 Fr Munyoro was appointed Delegate of Formation.[1]
ZBC
Information minister Jonathan Moyo appointed Father Gibson Munyoro after dismissing Dennis Magaya who was implicated in ZESA procurement scandals.
Fr Nunyoro had served as a member of the ZBC board chaired by Dennis Magaya having been appointed on 16 February 2014.[4]
In March 2019, Munyoro was replaced by Josiah Tayi.[5]
Following the death of Moven Mahachi, a by election was held 8–9 September 2001. The result, Makoni returned to Parliament:
- Gibson Munyoro of Zanu PF with 10 610 votes,
- Remus Makuwaza of MDC with 5 841 votes,
- Egypt Dzimunhenzva of African National Party with 665 votes.
